WALES boss Chris Coleman is set to hand Blackburn Rovers loanee Tom Lawrence his first start in tomorrow night’s friendly with Holland in Cardiff.

Star men Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey are both absent, as are strikers Hal Robson-Kanu and Sam Vokes.

And that is set to see Lawrence, on loan at Ewood Park from Leicester City, given a chance up front.

The 21-year-old has scored twice this season for Rovers including the equaliser in last weekend’s Championship draw with Brentford.

“There will be times when Gareth and Aaron are not going to be available,” Coleman said.

“They’re not going to spend every minute of every game on the pitch together and it’s been well-documented we’ve struggled to get all our best players on the pitch.

“But when we’ve had to call other players up they’ve always done a great job.”

“We’ve got two world-class players, but the strength of the group is togetherness and that's always been evident.”

Rovers right-back Adam Henley will be hoping to make his international debut for Wales who last month sealed qualification to Euro 2016.

Northern Ireland will join them in France and will begin their preparations for next summer’s tournament with a friendly with Latvia in Belfast tomorrow night.

Rovers midfielder Corry Evans is in the Northern Ireland squad.

Republic of Ireland could yet join Northern Ireland, Wales and England at the finals if they come through their two-legged play-off with Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The first leg takes place in Zenica tomorrow night with Shane Duffy part of Ireland’s travelling squad.

Fellow Rovers defender Darragh Lenihan is in the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad for their UEFA European Under-21 qualifier in Lithuania tomorrow night.

Rovers midfielder Williamson could also in action with Jamaica who take on Panama in Kingston in a World Cup qualifier.
