JASON Lowe will start out on another road to recovery today when he returns to Blackburn Rovers’ Brockhall training base.

On Tuesday the midfielder underwent a second operation on the persistent foot injury that has restricted him to just 18 appearances since the start of last season.

And Rovers boss Gary Bowyer said: “He’s fine and he’s coming in tomorrow.

“I’ve spoken to him on the phone and he was really positive, as he always is.

“Now he’s ready to go through the hard work that will be needed to get him back.

“Hopefully this is it now, it’s all put to bed, and we can just focus on getting him fit and playing for Rovers.”

Striker Chris Brown, meanwhile, continues to make ‘slow’ progress on the injury that has ruled him out since the Capital One Cup defeat to Shrewsbury Town.

Bowyer said: “It’s slow at the moment with Browny but hopefully once the break comes it might just give him a little bit more time.”
