TOM HEATON

THE Burnley goalkeeper has not had the busiest start to the season, but faced his biggest test under a barrage of Bristol City attacks in the first half.

The 29-year-old stood up to every challenge that came his way, and was rewarded with another England call-up just over 24 hours later.

Regular first team football is a top priority to Heaton. He stayed loyal to Burnley and believes they can return to the top flight, and his professionalism was rightly rewarded by Roy Hodgson.

STRIKERS AGAIN!

Manager Sean Dyche is spoilt for choice with so many forwards to choose from, even without Jelle Vossen now.

The most potent combination has yet to become apparent, but partnerships can only develop if they are given time.

The new faces, the newest being Andre Gray, will need the opportunity to bed in.

SET PIECES

BURNLEY came unstuck at corners countless times last season, undoing all their good work in open play at venues like Old Trafford and the Emirates.

But the boot is on the other foot now.

Not only have they defended them well in their last two games they have found a way to dominate them in the opposition box, thanks largely to ‘headmaster’ Michael Keane, with Ben Mee weighing in now too at Bristol City.
