BLACKBURN Rovers midfielder Corry Evans has declared himself fit for tomorrow’s Championship clash at Brighton & Hove Albion.
After a thigh injury ruled him out of the whole of pre-season Evans made his first start of the campaign in last Tuesday’s Capital One Cup loss to Shrewsbury Town.

But the Northern Ireland international came off 65 minutes into the 2-1 home defeat and, up until yesterday morning, had been back in the treatment room.
But Evans, speaking at the inaugural Rovers Roadshow event in Blackburn town centre, said: “I trained today for the first time since Shrewsbury last week.
“I felt good and hopefully I’ll be involved in the squad for Brighton.
“I’ve had a little niggling thigh injury throughout pre-season.
“I missed all the games in pre-season so I’ve been playing a bit of catch-up to get my fitness back.
“Last Tuesday against Shrewsbury, it was still a little bit tight, but a week away with the physios has helped me.
“You’ve just got to be careful with it, don’t do too much, and just get it right to come back fully fit.”
