THE first East Lancashire derby of the Championship season between Blackburn Rovers and Burnley will be shown live on Sky Sports.

The Ewood Park encounter, on Saturday, October 24, will still kick-off at 12.30pm.

It will be the first time the two sides have met since newly relegated Burnley ended a 35-year wait for a victory over their bitter rivals when they won 2-1 at Ewood in March 2014.

And it will be the third Rovers match to be televised by Sky in the first three months of the season.

The visit of Bolton Wanderers, on Friday, August 28 (7.45pm), and the trip to Fulham, on Sunday, September 13 (noon), will also receive the big screen treatment.

Meanwhile, Rovers' home game against Derby County has been moved back 24 hours and will now take place on Wednesday, October 21 (7.45pm).

That is because Derby's home clash against Wolves has been pushed back to Sunday, October 18 after it was selected for Sky coverage.
