FORMER Blackburn Rovers midfielder Neil Danns and Bolton Wanderers team-mate Barry Bannan have been suspended ‘indefinitely’ by the club after a breach of club discipline.

Bolton boss Neil Lennon confirmed the punishment after leaving Danns and the on-loan Bannan out of Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Brentford.

Reports suggest complaints were made against the duo for the behaviour in the Whites Hotel at the Macron Stadium in the early hours of Wednesday morning, following a midweek draw with Charlton Athletic.

Lennon said: “I have to put a marker down and I won’t tolerate it, they have got a bit of making up to do.

“They are suspended indefinitely, until further notice, and they’ll both be fined the maximum wage we can do.

“We will welcome them back when and if we decide it’s the right time to do it.”

Bolton twice pegged back play-off chasing Brentford at Griffin Park, with another former Blackburn Rovers midfielder Jonathan Douglas on target for the Bees.

Bacup-born star Reece James, on loan from Manchester United, scored for Huddersfield Town in their 4-4 draw with Derby County.

Watford climbed to the top of the Championship after dramatic injury-time heartbreak for Bournemouth.
