BLACKBURN Rovers will complete their pre-season preparations with a home clash against Mark Hughes’ Stoke City.

Former Rovers boss Hughes will bring his Premier League outfit to Ewood Park on Sunday, August 3 for what will be Gary Bowyer’s side's sole home friendly of the summer (3pm).

Their other four friendlies take them to AFC Telford United, Accrington Stanley, Bradford City and Bury.

The trip to Conference Premier new boys Telford kicks-off Rovers’ pre-season schedule on Saturday, July 12 (3pm).

Boss Bowyer will then take his players, for a second year running, to Portugal for a week-long warm weather training camp between July 14-20, before they return to East Lancashire to take on Stanley, managed by former Rovers striker James Beattie, at their Store First Stadium home on Wednesday, July 23 (7.45pm).

The friendly is part of the compensation package between the clubs following Connor Mahoney’s move to Rovers in December.

Rovers will then travel to League One Bradford City on Saturday, July 26 (3pm) and Stanley’s League Two rivals Bury on Wednesday, July 30 (7.45pm) before returning to Ewood to take on Hughes and Stoke, less than a week before the Championship campaign gets under way on Saturday, August 9.

Fixtures for the 2014-15 Championship season will be released on Wednesday, June 18.

Rovers’ U21s team have lined up six pre-season friendlies, all away from home.

They are: Saturday, July 12 A Clitheroe (3pm); Saturday, July 19 A Knaresborough Town (2pm); Tuesday, July 22 A AFC Darwen (7.45pm); Tuesday, July 29 A Annan Athletic (7.30pm); Saturday, August 2 A Penrith (2pm); Tuesday, August 5 A Workington (7pm).
