Accrington Stanley move up place after Wimbledon deduction

Lancashire Telegraph: James Beattie James Beattie

ACCRINGTON Stanley have moved up a place to 16th in League Two after AFC Wimbledon were deducted three points for fielding an ineligible player.

Wimbledon have been punished for fielding Jake Nicholson against Cheltenham in March, and now drop from 14th to 18th in the League Two table.

James Beattie's Stanley host Wimbledon on the last day of the season on Saturday and climb from 17th to 16th as a result of the deduction.
