KIERAN Trippier and Danny Ings are closing in on a return from injury as Burnley look to edge closer to the Premier League in the next few days.
The Clarets travel to Barnsley tomorrow night before hosting Middlesbrough on Saturday, knowing two victories could potentially see them promoted by the weekend.
Trippier and Ings have been absent with respective hamstring and ankle injuries but both are now preparing for comebacks.
Boss Sean Dyche appeared to hint that former Barnsley defender Trippier was more likely than Ings to feature at Oakwell, but is happy that the duo are about to return.
Dean Marney is also back tomorrow following a two-match ban.
"Tripps is right on the cusp and Ingsy is going along nicely," Dyche said.
"We're just leaving Danny to move freely, he is moving freely on the grass and he's got a great will to be involved. I think it will be sooner rather than later."
