RUDY Gestede has returned to the Blackburn Rovers starting line-up for their Championship clash at home to play-off pushing Ipswich Town today.

Gestede will partner Jordan Rhodes in a two-man attack after taking the place of David Dunn, who drops to a bench which also includes Dickson Etuhu.

The fit-again midfielder has made only one appearance for Rovers since December 2012.

Ipswich, who are two points behind sixth-placed Reading and five points above their hosts, make two changes to the team which started their 1-1 draw at home to Nottingham Forest last Saturday.

Frank Nouble and Anthony Wordsworth replace Paul Anderson and Stephen Hunt.

Rovers: Robinson, Keane, Hanley, Kilgallon, Spurr, Cairney, Evans, Williamson, Conway, Gestede, Rhodes. Subs: Eastwood, King, Dunn, Varney, Taylor, Etuhu, Feeney.

Ipswich: Gerken, Chambers, Berra, Smith, Cresswell, Wordsworth, Hyam, Skuse, Nouble, Williams, Murphy. Subs: Loach, Hunt, Mings, Green, Tabb, Richardson, Ebanks-Blake.

Gestedde gives us that vital hight in the box which could be crucial today,,l think the pairing works well Rhodes has hit form again and at this stage of the season who knows what could happen especially if those above start losing games,
