MATCHDAY LIVE: Watford v Burnley

This live event has finished

5:00pm

And that's it, full time: Watford 1 Burnley 1. That's a big point for the Clarets, they're now 10 points clear in second with only 6 games left.

4:57pm

Deeney shot wide for Watford

4:57pm

90 seconds left here

4:57pm

QPR and Derby have both lost.

4:54pm

Attendance: 16,182 (Burnley 1,732)

4:52pm

Watford sub on 87: Riera for McGugan.

4:51pm

Watford 1 Burnley 1 on 86! Baird's pass to Arfield on the edge of the box and the Scot found space and then found the bottom corner.

4:48pm

Edgar header wide for Burnley

4:46pm

Watford go close twice, Anya went round Heaton and scuffed a shot towards goal, Baird had to race back to clear. Then from the corner Heaton saved from Pudil's header.

4:44pm

Almunia has to make a great save to keep out Ben Mee's header from a Kightly corner. Closest Burnley have come.

4:40pm

Burnley sub on 75: Stock for Jones

4:39pm

Watford sub on 75: Faraoni for Ranegie

4:38pm

Now Tozser crosses and Ranegie's header is saved by Heaton

4:37pm

From the corner Burnley have to make three important blocks, the last turning Abdi's shot into the side ntting

4:36pm

Baird has to get back well to clear after Deeney had played in Anya, good football from Watford

4:31pm

Derby now losing 1-0 at Middlesbrough

4:27pm

Bournemouth 2-1 up against QPR

4:27pm

Burnley sub on 62: Wallace for Treacy

4:21pm

Kightly shot into side netting

4:14pm

Deeney went past Mee but surprisingly passed rather than shot and the chance fizzled out

4:13pm

Arfield with a shot wide

4:12pm

Charlie Austin on bench for QPR today, hopefully his return won't make big dfference

4:11pm

QPR have equalised at Bournemouth

4:09pm

Teams back out for second half

3:53pm

Half time: Watford 1 Burnley 0

3:52pm

McGugan with a shot over for Watford

3:49pm

Good news: QPR are losing at Bournemouth.

3:47pm

As expected 6 mins added on. Arfield lashes a volley wide from 25 yards.

3:44pm

We'll probably have 6 or 7 minutes added on at the end of the half because of that delay.

3:44pm

Watford sub on 42: Battocchio off, Abdi on.

Elsewhere QPR and Derby both drawing 0-0 in their respective away games.

3:42pm

A long injury delay as Battocchio is treated, looks like his right leg is being strapped up for the stretcher, could be a serious one.

3:38pm

Not too much happening at moment, Pudil stabbed a shot wide, but still 1-0.

3:27pm

Burnley starting to keep possession well, think Barnes is doing okay in the difficult lone front role.

3:25pm

Watford fans being whipped up by a hornet playing a drum. Slightly strange.

3:19pm

Another powerful effort from Deeney goes just wide. Burnley looking very vulnerable here.

3:16pm

McGugan's angled shot goes just wide

3:14pm

Barnes goal disallowed for offside, he had turned in Treacy's left wing cross.

3:11pm

Watford 1 Burnley 0 on 9 mins. Deeney allowed space to turn 25 yards out and his powerful shot found the top corner past Heaton. Think it might have taken a slight deflection off Shackell to help loop it over the keeper.

3:09pm

Treacy with a free kick that Almunia saves comfortably.

3:07pm

Kightly with a nice bit of play for Burnley but the attack broke down.

3:03pm

Watford on attack early on.

3:02pm

The match is underway, Burnley have switched ends and are kicking towards the away fans in the first half. Arfield playing just off lone front man Barnes, Treacy on left wing, Kightly on right.

2:59pm

We have an unusual vantage point in the press box here today, with the main stand shut for redevelopment we're on the opposite side of the ground, right at the far end of the stand level with the goalline. To our left are the Burnley fans, a very good turn-out, the away end is packed.

2:58pm

Teams out here at Vicarage Road.

2:37pm

Referee Stuart Attwell takes charge of a game at Vicarage Road for the first time since awarding the infamous 'ghost goal' to Reading in 2008. Hopefully he won't be under too much pressure to appease the Watford fans today, I don't think they've forgiven him for that goal.

2:30pm

Danny Ings is here but is still out with injury, along with Kieran Trippier, Junior Stanislas and obviously Sam Vokes. Dean Marney completes a two-match ban.

2:28pm

Watford: Manuel Almunia, Ikechi Anya, Gabriele Angella, Joel Ekstrand, Marco Cassetti, Daniel Pudil, Daniel Tozser, Lewis McGugan, Cristian Battocchio, Mathias Ranegie, Troy Deeney. Subs: Jonathan Bond, Almen Abdi, Sean Murray, Albert Riera, Samba Diakite, Tommie Hoban, Davide Faraoni.

2:25pm

Welcome to coverage of today's Championship match at Vicarage Road between Watford and Burnley.

Burnley team: Tom Heaton, Chris Baird, Michael Duff, Jason Shackell, Ben Mee, Scott Arfield, David Edgar, David Jones, Scott  Arfield, Keith Treacy, Ashley Barnes. Subs: Alex Cisak, Kevin Long, Danny Laffery, Brian Stock, Steven Hewitt, Ross Wallace, Jason Gilchrist.

Really happy with today's set of results. Even glad Blackburn won cos they av faint play off hopes so will play to win against qpr on tues. Blackpool also fighting for lives so derby will av a hard game as will we.

9 points from 6 games guarantees promotion. I can see a party in front of the sky cameras against Ipswich. I'm starting to believe n im a pessimist. Utc
