Kasabian appearance pleases Dyche

Lancashire Telegraph: Sean Dyche Sean Dyche

BURNLEY boss Sean Dyche will be encouraging his Clarets to take Kasabian’s advice and ‘Take Aim’ this afternoon.

With lead singer Serge Pizzorno famously a Leicester City, the band members have been invited to Turf Moor as guests of Dyche to watch the top two go head-to-head in the lunchtime televised clash.

The sides have had a ‘Running Battle’ for the majority of the season at the top end of the Championship.

Leicester claimed top spot from Burnley on Boxing Day and have not moved since.

But with the chance to return to the summit today – should the Clarets win by two goals – Dyche wants his side to be on song, despite being a Kasabian fan.

“I am particularly a fan of theirs, yes. Not of their club of choice,” smiled Dyche, who when asked if he had been involved in the arrangement said: “Possibly.

“I’m a fan of their music that’s for sure, I’ve seen them on many occasions.”

Although midfielder Scott Arfield was a member of indie band The Begbies, while Michael Duff shares a love of The Smiths with his manager, Dyche admits he hasn’t been able to educate the masses in the Clarets’ dressing room.

“No. It’s like death by dance music, which I used to be into in 1989 when I went to the Hacienda. I’m not so into it now,” said the Burnley boss.

“My son likes Kasabian so I get that in the car. Other than that it’s One Direction.

“My daughter’s a 1D fanatic. I’m not but my daughter plays it incessantly.

“Nothing against 1D, but I’ll stick with Kasabian.”

Top bloke, can't help but like him, even though I'm a Blue.
Can't wait for him to move on to a bigger club, like Bournemouth or Bolton.
