WHAT do we want from Millwall tomorrow? More of the same please.

I thought Rovers played very well against Watford on Tuesday and should have won the game.

Yes some of their defending wasn’t great and yes they were naïve for Watford’s third goal, when they all went forward searching for a winner, but overall I was pleased by the performance.

How could you not be?

Watford are a good team who had won their previous six home games, not conceding a goal in that time.

But for long periods Rovers played them off the park. Our lads worked hard, worked Watford out, pressurised them, and didn’t let them get the ball down and play.

You can’t let Watford do that as they are good team.

So Rovers went hunting in packs – it wasn’t just one individual trying to get the ball back, they worked together as a team.

They saw that the goalkeeper and the defence were dodgy on crosses.

So credit to Rovers, they did the right thing and kept putting the ball in the box and Watford didn’t know how to handle it.

Rudy Gestede, in particular, caused them all sorts of problems.

When you’ve got someone with his size and strength it’s only right that you mix it up and go direct.

But Rovers also showed they can play.

David Dunn’s goal was brilliant and the way he beat three or four players to set up Craig Conway’s goal, when he could have just smacked it, was great.

So there are a lot of reasons to be confident going into tomorrow’s game.

I don’t think Blackburn should have anything to fear at Millwall.

Yes we know it will be a fierce atmosphere and yes their crowd will be getting on the Blackburn players’ back.

But the players will know that and should be ready for that.

They’ve just got to go about playing the way they did against Watford.

As if they show the same attitude as they did on Tuesday night they should win the game because they have got better players.
