KIERAN Trippier is likely to miss Burnley's top of the table clash with Leicester on Saturday as he continues his recovery from a thigh injury.

Clarets top scorer Danny Ings is also still sidelined with an ankle injury while Dean Marney begins a two-game suspension.

But striker Ashley Barnes will be fit to face the Foxes.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche said: "Tripps is getting closer, we have to be sensible with that one. We don't think it's long term but maybe it's too quick for Saturday, we'll have to make that decision.

"We don't have a midweek game so we'll have to make a decision with the physios. Danny will be slightly longer but he's going nicely - we still expect his recovery to go as planned."

"Dean Marney will miss the game, the others came through very well. Barnes came off as a precaution."

The absence of Marney will force Dyche into a re-shuffle in midfield with David Edgar likely to start alongside David Jones.

The Clarets chief could also choose to move Scott Arfield inside and bring Michael Kightly or Keith Treacy onto the right wing.
