BURNLEY dominated the top 10 of the Championship Player of the Year voting, it has been revealed.
Danny Ings was crowned player of the year earlier this month beating Leeds United’s Ross McCormack and Leicester City’s Danny Drinkwater into second and third place.
But the Clarets had three players in the top 10, with the award voted for by club managers.
Ings’ strike partner Sam Vokes, who since the awards has gone on to pass the 20-goal tally for the season, was sixth in the list while Burnley right back Kieran Trippier was eighth.
Only league leaders Leicester could match the achievement of having three players in the top 10 with former Claret David Nugent fifth and Jamie Vardy seventh.
Nottingham Forest’s Andy Reid was fourth, Ipswich’s Aaron Cresswell ninth and Derby County’s Will Hughes tenth.
