BURNLEY dominated the top 10 of the Championship Player of the Year voting, it has been revealed.

Danny Ings was crowned player of the year earlier this month beating Leeds United’s Ross McCormack and Leicester City’s Danny Drinkwater into second and third place.

But the Clarets had three players in the top 10, with the award voted for by club managers.

Ings’ strike partner Sam Vokes, who since the awards has gone on to pass the 20-goal tally for the season, was sixth in the list while Burnley right back Kieran Trippier was eighth.

Only league leaders Leicester could match the achievement of having three players in the top 10 with former Claret David Nugent fifth and Jamie Vardy seventh.

Nottingham Forest’s Andy Reid was fourth, Ipswich’s Aaron Cresswell ninth and Derby County’s Will Hughes tenth.

Former Accrington Stanley player Gary Roberts won the League Two player of the year award while his Chesterfield team-mate and another ex-Red Jimmy Ryan was sixth.

One thing that has puzzled me since the Awards were announced is why the Championship" team "of the year has not been published ?
Also why cant the media publish the full list of award winners and percentage votes?

Could have been more as well :

Heaton
Shackell
Arfield

Could all have realistically made the team.

Where is Jordan Rhodes, the standout player at Jordan Rhodes FC?

Not good enough apparently.

Jordan Rhodes is about the only decent player at Blackburn. Unfortunately he is unable to show his best while stuck in this squad and needs to review his career decisions at the end of this season. Happy with the money he will stay and disappear into football league as a decent league striker. Any footballing ambition and he ought to have a good think about where he needs to be playing over the next 5 years.
Fortunately for us we are hoping to be in a position where the best player in the championship won't have such consideration to make.

At what price would Rovers let Rhodes go. Its clear Huddersfield ripped the No Dads off. I doubt he is worth say 10 million quid. Good player if hes fed properly. Enjoy the Championship Jordan UTC.
