BURNLEY will monitor Danny Ings ahead of Saturday's visit of Leeds United, after the top scorer limped out of last night's 3-3 draw with Birmingham City.
The 21-year-old did not take part in this afternoon's training session as a result of an ankle knock sustained in the second half at St Andrew's.
He will undergo further assessment tomorrow before manager Sean Dyche picks his starting XI for the Turf Moor clash, but it is not thought to be a "sinister" injury.
"Anything done will be precautionary because the medical team deem it appropriate," said Dyche.
"We'll be getting it checked out more thoroughly. We don't think at this stage it's anything too sinister but we will get it checked out, as we would with any other player. It's care and attention to detail."
