BURNLEY reporter Suzanne Geldard gives her player ratings for the Clarets’ 2-1 win at Blackburn Rovers.
Tom Heaton 9: Made a terrific late tip-over from Lowe. Was unsighted for Rhodes’ opener.
Kieran Trippier 9: More inventive as the game went on after the reins were put on him first half. Brave at back.
Michael Duff 8: A veteran of this famous derby. Protected Burnley’s lead to record their long-awaited win.
Jason Shackell 8: Another derby goal at Ewood Park, making up for hesitation with opener.
Ben Mee 8: Cleared off the line from Varney just before the break. Good delivery going forward.
Scott Arfield 9: A constant bright spark. Delivered the initial ball that ultimately led to Ings' winner.
Dean Marney 8: Made some bright forward runs but his defensive work was more important to the outcome.
David Jones 8: In the mix of all the action in the middle of the park a year after being in opposite camp.
Michael Kightly 8: Snapped at opposition ankles. Up for the battle. A great derby mentality.
Sam Vokes 8: Had started to get into the game more, taking on defenders, when he was brought off.
Danny Ings 9: Made history by scoring the winner and end Burnley's 35-year wait for a derby win.
