BRENDAN Flood's return to the Burnley board has been confirmed.
As revealed in the Lancashire Telegraph last month the Rossendale-born businessman was in the process of finalising a second spell as a club director.
Flood, who originally joined the board in 2006 - going on to become operational director, stood down from his position in 2013, has today been officially reinstated.
Co-chairman Mike Garlick said: “On behalf of the Board of Directors, we welcome Brendan back.
“He has always been a passionate Burnley supporter and we look forward to once again drawing on his drive and enthusiasm as we continue to carry the club forward.”
Flood retained a significant shareholding despite leaving the board 14 months ago.
His return, which is subject to Football League clearance, will make him the seventh current boardroom member.
