4:17pm

SUB for Rovers. Tom Cairney, still feeling the effects of that knock, is replaced by Chris Taylor. 59 mins. 0-1.

4:12pm

Good opening wasted for Rovers. Lee Williamson shows skill and strength to play in Craig Conway down the left. He waits for the overlap from Tommy Spurr, whose side-footed cross is a good one. Crucially, however, no-one gambled. 54 mins. 0-1.

4:09pm

Relief as Tom Cairney comes back on to the field. 51 mins. 0-1.

4:07pm

Concernn for Rovers as Tom Cairney is down. Stretcher called for. But he is now standing up. 48 mins. 0-1.

4:04pm

Second half is under way. No changes for either side.

3:49pm

HALF-TIME Reading 0 Rovers 1.

3:48pm

3:47pm

Two minutes of added time at the end of the first half. 0-1.

3:44pm

BOOKED Jobi McAnuff. Reading captain cautioned for barging over the marauding Rudy Gestede. 42 mins. 0-1

3:43pm

Rovers really on top. Craig Conway cross from the left, floated beyond the deep Reading backline, finds an onside Jordan Rhodes, whose instinctive flicked header is caught by Alex McCarthy. 42 mins. 0-1.

3:42pm

Right. How that goal came about. Jobi McAnuff's free kick for Reading hit the wall and was cleared by Rovers up toward Jordan Rhodes.

He won his battle for the ball near the touchline and it eventually broke for Craig Conway.

The full debutant raced through on goal and while his left-footed shot may have been going wide it definitely hit Royals skipper McAnuff and went in. One for the dubious goals panel.

3:40pm

Wonderful save from Alex McCarthy denies Jordan Rhodes, who turned and fired in 20-yard half-volley. 38 mins. 1-0.

3:37pm

GOAL 1-0 Rovers. Craig Conway. 36 mins.

3:36pm

BOOKED Jason Lowe. The Rovers midfielder becomes the first player to be cautioned after dragging down Danny Williams 25 yards from goal. 35 mins. 0-0.

3:28pm

Good powerful play by Rudy Gestede, who holds off his marker before cutting inside and firing wide from 20 yards. 26 mins. 0-0.

3:23pm

Great play Jordan Rhodes, making something out of a long ball down the line by Tommy Spurr, as he nips in ahead of Alex Pearce, advances, and stands up a cross toward Rudy Gestede that is cleared by Kaspars Gorkss. 21 mins. 0-0.

3:19pm

Reading looking dangerous down the flanks, particularly their right. Chris Gunter has  just sent over an inviting cross that Grant Hanley headed behind for a corner.

Following that, Hope Akpan had an effort deflected wide. 16 mins. 0-0.

3:13pm

Rovers having more of the ball (57%) but have yet to threaten the Reading goal. 12 mins. 0-0.

3:07pm

First chance goes the way of Reading. A poor pass from Lee Williamson leads to Tommy Spurr losing the ball on the touchline to Pavel Pogrebnyak, who powers forward and passes out wide to Jobi McAnuff. The Royals skipper cuts inside in the box but his tame shot is easily saved by Paul Robinson. Should have done better. 5 mins. 0-0.

3:01pm

We are under way.

2:57pm

The teams are out, Rovers wearing their all-red away strip.

2:38pm

The teams in full are...

Reading: McCarthy, Gunter, Gorkss, Pearce, Obita, McCleary, Akpan, Williams, McAnuff, Le Fondre, Pogrebnyak. Subs: Federici, Kelly, Drenthe, Robson-Kanu, Guthrie, Blackman, Hector.

Rovers: Robinson, Henley, Hanley, Kilgallon, Spurr, Cairney, Lowe, Williamson, Conway, Rhodes, Gestede. Subs: Eastwood, Kane, Dunn, Olsson, Varney, Taylor, Evans.

2:36pm

Reading, who have cemented the final play-off spot with a run of five wins in their last seven matches, name an unchanged side for the eighth game running.

2:35pm

Rovers, who are seven points behind sixth-placed Reading having played a game less, have made three changes to the side which started the 0-0 draw at Middlesbrough two weeks ago.

Winger Craig Conway comes in for his full debut while Adam Henley and Lee Williamson earn recalls. Todd Kane, Chris Taylor and David Dunn drop to the bench.

2:34pm

Good afternoon and welcome to the Madejski Stadium for today's clash between Reading and Blackurn Rovers.

I've got to admit, seeing Williamson in the team did not instill me with confidence, but he's the manager and well done to him.

He is busy distracting defenders whilst others get be goals. Who cares as long as we win, it will keep buyers away.

Great win. Just 4 points off 6th now with game in hand. 3 consecutive clean sheets. Shame we can't play the Brighton game midweek. Also a shame Bolton are ripping us off with their ridiculous prices which will mean that the usual 4000 that go the the breeze-block will probably be less than half that amount. Fingers crossed for Ciarney.

We need to keep the foot on the gas now and we may just sneak into the play off's, anything can happen then.
