As the 17th no-mark makes his way out through the Ewood Park revolving door of shame, you can't help wondering how much this particular non-player has cost you in his time at the club, when you factor in agents fee's, signing on fee, and wages. Is it any wonder your club is on the brink of financial collapse?

A fantastic return of zero appearances in 18 months. What a signing.

What a shambles.

Another one of the Portuguese who wasn't good enough shown the door. What a great transfer window we have had. Is it 17 no hopers out and 4 good Championship players in? Excellent way towards balancing the books and improving the squad at the same time. Things are looking up a bit now. Looking forward to the rest of the season as this squad gets to know each other and hopefully some consistency can be found.

There can't be many more of these "mistakes" left at the club now can there?

I have lost count of how many players GB has shipped out, I had it at 19 last week, that I don't even remember most of them getting on the bench let alone on the pitch.

It would be interesting to see just how much money has been saved, probably won't find out for a while, if ever.

I see the village idiot is the first on here again (OCD)

onto the subject - the departure of all these players in the january window must be a disaster for the local economy around brockall - the restaurants and hotels must be mortified.

Just shows what a twit the Burnley troll who always comments on here is (Rhodes is still here you plank, just keep predicting he's leaving in every transfer window, and you're bound to be right at some point).

As a previous poster has said, this has been an excellent transfer window. Yes it would have been nice not to have signed a load of dross players in the first place, but that was just one of many mistakes made in the Kean era. In this window we have removed most of them, taking a shed load of cost from our wage bill without significantly weakening the team. This means we are either closer to breaking even, or have freed up funds to bring in new players, or keep our best ones.

Yes, but just a shame we couldn't get more of them out of the club on permanent deals.

Also, it would have been nice to have got rid of Leon Best too.

I can imagine that the Jerome Anderson / Steve Kean / Shebby Singh era will be used in future as a case study on how not to run a football club.

I recognise that Bowyer has his critics but surely even they can see that he knows what he's doing in the transfer market - Cairney, Gestede, Marshall, Killgallon, Evans, Spurr, Taylor and Conway have all arrived on the cheap and are good championship players with youth on their side.

They just need time now.

Surely this guy could not have been so bad as not to get a single run out, again it would have been nice to see him get a game in order to form an opinion of him, but it is good he is going if he is not needed.. Wish GB would come out and say what is happening and what are the plans with Best as this situation is rediculous with the money he is on.

Anderson, Steve Kean/ Shebby Singh don't forget the lies and support they were getting from various sources backing them up, and of course Hendry's famous comments about how the majority of supporters are behind Kean , two weeks later Hendry manages to get on Rovers payroll and unbelievably even though his incompetence has forced the club to drop him from assistant manager to basically kit man for the kids team, he is still picking up big money from Rovers.

Amazing work by Bowyer, Shaw and the rest of the board to rid the club of so many of the Kean 'no hopers' and over paid journeymen!

Bringing in 4 quality players and ridding ourselves of circa 15 lumps of deadwood.

The club is in a much better position then it was this time last month!

THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT...ISH!

Here's another fine example of the delusion that has descended upon Shadsworth...

"What a great transfer window we have had"

That statement says it all about you no-dad's. You have not only lost your captain, but also your most creative player in Rochina who only recently several of you insisted would be key to your play-off chances, and on top of that another 15 players of mixed ability/prospects who in most cases have only been shipped out on loan with BRFC STILL paying a large chunk of their overinflated wages. You also have the likes of Leon Best and Dickson Etuhu draining your penniless club of approx £35,000 a week each. The debts continue to rise make no mistake.

You have had a disaster of a transfer window with the only plus point being that you have retained Rhodes until the summer, but even that is a mixed blessing given that young Jordan has forgotten how to score, 7 games without a goal shows that his head has gone and he's biding his time until he can escape this summer.

As I've said many times, consistency is key and all your recent chopping and changing has only served to bring a premature end to your play-off hopes.

6th place is now out of reach, 3 away games against better opposition are looming, and the Derby day is likely to come at the worst possible time for you.

But keep telling yourself things are looking up.

Another one off the wage bill, just Ethuhu and Best draining the club now! I see there's a suggestion that Neill is being considered as defensive cover.....wouldn't mind seeing him in Blue and White if he's fit enough.

Me too, we need the cover and a cool head in defence could be just what's needed. I don't see any harm in signing him as we would know what we were getting. I'm not bothered what went on last time. If he's good enough GB get him.

On the brink of financial collapse? What papers have you been reading? Were owned by a billionaire group of Indians, we can stomach massive losses... how about you?
I don't know if it's true, but it's 'rumoured' the debt is owned by Venkys India, not Venkys London. If that's the case it's Venkys headache but I would guess they have the accountants / people who could do something about it. To me they don't seem to be panicking. Just a thought.

Someone mentioned that we are letting a lot of our unwanted players go out on loan and moving them out permanently would be preferable.
Maybe a loan deal was all the club can get at this time. A loan can offer several benefits for us. First, it gets all, or a portion of the players wages off our outgoings. Then it gives the other club, and potentially other clubs, a chance to see the player in action which may end in his eventual transfer.
Certainly far better than keeping the player at Ewood when GB thinks he has no potential for us.

From the Lancashire Telegraph....

"Blackburn Rovers are a 99.99 per cent subsidiary of Venky’s London Limited, accounts for the majority of the group’s trading and the report says the owners will require “significant funding” as part of their cash flow forecast, especially with Financial Fair Play due to come into effect.

The parent company Venkateshwara Hatcheries Pvt Ltd will continue to finance Rovers in order for Venky’s London to continue to trade."

In other words, once that funding ceases Venky's London will no longer be a viable business and Blackburn Rovers will enter administration.

Is clearing out 17 players not panicking? I would say alarms bells are ringing at Venky HQ in Rose Grove as Mrs D plays with the idea of pulling the plug after 2 disastrous seasons that have seen you amass a net debt of £56 million.

Another one off the wage bill, just Ethuhu and Best draining the club now! I see there's a suggestion that Neill is being considered as defensive cover.....wouldn't mind seeing him in Blue and White if he's fit enough.

As Venky's own Venky's London I'm not sure how much it matters where the debt actually sits, but there again I don't pretend to be an accountant.

I was under the impression that the all but 11 million of the debt is owed directly to Venky's at 0% interest with no stipulated payback date, I don't know how that stands with Fair Play but I guess we will find out fairly soon.

Pretty certain that the decks are being cleared in preparation for FP as if you look at most clubs the greatest expenditure is players salaries.

I was actually going to make a similar point, most of the players who have gone out on loan could play a big part for us in the future, it's better that they get regular football elsewhere where we can monitor their development.

The ones who have been sold on, well, the majority were simply idiotic signings who were on extremely good salaries (according to Statler and Waldorf) and as one of them works at Brockhall he should know. lol.

Speaking of obsessive trolls....Hi Ronnie !
Obsessive troll , you state ------ why ? writing FACTS yes FACTS. not opinions , FACTS .

Two players walks out of our club , Neill for MONEY and he is only back here to get into the Australian soccer team. So he makes more MONEY mainly from sponsorship from down under .
Hendry walked out twice both times for more money , JAck said he had never been. Treated ever so dishonourably by a player before, Jack paid Hendry a bonus of one million pounds when he said he was staying and not going to Glasgow Rangers, he got his million and still walked out.
Hendry's actions prompted Jack to say , I hope that man never sets foot in Ewoo again, and he never would have if Jack was still alive.

A lot of things would never have happened if old Jack were immortal, but sadly he's gone, and Jack's nightmares have become reality for Blackburn Rovers after his own family sold his dream to Indian Chicken Farmers, who recruited a comedy Malaysian TV pundit to run the show, a string of failed managers who then sued the club for millions, brought back Hendry on £8000 a week and got you relegated from the Premier League for the second time.

Jack would be disgusted in what you, the fans, have allowed to happen to his "once-proud" club in a matter of 3 seasons.

Blackburn Rovers is being bent over and jolly well rogered for all its worth, there will be nothing left once Venky's have pulled out. That's why cling-on's such as Hendry and now Neill are back to fill their boots while they can. Parasites.

But keep telling yourself things are looking up.
your penniless club thats rich coming from a club that lost £ 8 million last season 17 no hopers you say have jump ship or gone through the revolving door most if not all have gone on loan and you say that rovers are still paying there wages how do you know that ? maybe that's a bit more speculation on your part you also say Jordan has forgotten how to score
well let me remind you he has a strike partner now remember him
as for this quote As I've said many times, consistency is key
you need to stop playing football manager
as for play-off hopes I think your predations are a bit premature
and you need to keep an eye on your own team performances over the next few games

What a great transfer window we have had. Is it 17 no hopers out and 4 good Championship players in? Excellent way towards balancing the books and improving the squad at the same time. Things are looking up a bit now. Looking forward to the rest of the season as this squad gets to know each other and hopefully some consistency can be found.[/p][/quote]Here's another fine example of the delusion that has descended upon Shadsworth...
