BURNLEY have this morning confirmed the signing of former Brighton and Hove Albion striker Ashley Barnes, on a three-and-a-half year deal.

The 24-year-old becomes Sean Dyche’s first signing of the January transfer window - and first signing to command a fee, believed to be in the region of £750,000.

And after penning the deal the deal today, subject to Football League acceptance, Barnes will go straight into the Clarets squad for tomorrow's Championship game at Yeovil.

Barnes will wear squad number 30 at Turf Moor.

Great news.

Welcome to Burnley Ashley, we finally have quality cover for Vokes and Ings so can freshen up the forward line if necessary.

Just had a wander over in a moment of weakness to see how you lot were taking the news, not a lot of interest really is there.

From what I have seen of Barnes he strikes me as a similar type of player to Ings, not as good obviously, but will fit into your system quite nicely when Ings leaves in the next week or so.

BTW, yes you won at Doncaster, and you are currently second and 13 points clear of us, well done so far.

As for us being crap? well we are just half way through the season at the moment, lots to play for, lots of chickens to hatch and count along the way, lets see who is where at the end of the season shall we?

That will decide who is crap and who isn't.

Yes but at the moment, and for the season thus far you are/have been crap.

Ings is not leaving though, however much you include this situation happening in your nightly prayers, so I hate to disappoint you (Even though your team has been doing a fantastic job of this recently).

I would be more worried about Jordan Rhodes leaving Jordan Rhodes FC, your next best goalscorer after him has a mighty TWO goals, you are so over reliant on him it is embarrassing for you.

Oh dear, nothing to talk about at deadwood, GB can't understand why everyone's not looking at his squad for their next signing. Can't even off load the millionaire seat warmers, Blinding

GB talking about how no ones approached the club about Dann and Rhodes, might as well just put 'For Sale' signs on tomorrows match program. If that not a plea for someone to take them off his hands, I don't know what is! (subliminally) otherwise why mention it.

Except for the fact we have been trying to sign him since July.

Your forward line will be Gestede and DJ Campbell for the rest of the season Then we will see who will suffer.

Better beat Donny on Saturday, it's likely to be a real relegation six pointer for poor old Blackburn

Better beat Donny on Saturday, it's likely to be a real relegation six pointer for poor old Blackburn
Trying to sign him since July? Good forward planning then by your board, were they looking to cash Ings in so early?
Oh well, just confirms what we all knew
Relegation 6 pointer? Nahh, more like a move into the play offs 3 pointer, planning ahead to the downfall of the Mighty Clarts in May

Just to also remind you we won at Doncaster.

And we are second

And we are 13 points ahead of you.

And you are crap

The end

Nick two posts from BRFC supporters and one post from a dingle when they have just completed a major signing (for them) says it all about there supporters!!!

Sorry Sorry my fault I forgot it's dole day, they will be on later!!
It's cos it's a Blackburn paper u numbskull. The space between ur ears is similar to our league positions!!
Numbskull, its called the Lancashire Telegraph, serving the Holy City of Blackburn and the surrounding villages including Burnley..
Or do you have your own paper? Cliviger Clarion does not count

Oh yes your team did win there but Yeovil did hit the woodwork twice Your team were clinical in front of goal. Quite right though you did get a good win.

They gave us a tuff game at the turf and I expect the same tomorrow. Hopefully we can take the points but if we don't I guess you have every right to come back on here with some GOOD banter chap.

Doncaster 22nd in the table.

Current league form last six games: LLLLDL

Scored 4 Conceded 13
So I guess those down the road are rubbing there hands , plenty of goals for team Rhodes unless he's on the bench pending his transfer. So 3 points all the way then !

Only time will tell.
