CHORLEY boss Garry Flitcroft says Saturday’s massive FA Trophy trip to Tamworth holds no fears for his Magpies – and he wants to put a show on for the travelling army of fans who will head to the Midlands.
Chorley, who are chasing promotion from the Evo-Stik League Premier Division, go to the Skrill Premier strugglers in the third round of the most prestigious competition in non-league.
And former Blackburn Rovers midfielder Flitcroft is relishing the prospect of the last 16 tie as his men get ever closer to a dream appearance under the arch of Wembley.
“It’s a huge tie and one I can’t wait for,” said Flitcroft.
“You want to be involved in matches like this and I know we can go and give a good account of ourselves.”
Chorley beat big spending Skrill Premier outfit Forest Green in the last round as they travelled to New Lawn to dump out the full-timers on a penalty shoot-out after a 0-0 draw at Victory Park.
“I have had Tamworth watched and I have also seen them myself so we will go there prepared and knowing what to expect,” added Flitcroft.
“We are taking more than 300 fans down there and I really hope we can put on a show for them.”
