BURNLEY are already in a very healthy position, but the next four games are a big opportunity to put us in a really fantastic position at the turn of the year.

With four games in a short space of time, if we could get something like 10 points from them it would really set us up for 2014.

I think we should be aiming for maximum points, and why not?

The two home games, against Blackpool tomorrow and Huddersfield on New Year’s Day, are matches we should be looking to win.

Middlesbrough away on Boxing Day is winnable, and Wigan away is another we can get something from because they haven’t been great this season either.

I went down to the Leicester game on Saturday and I got a nice welcome from another of my old clubs.

Three or four of the 1969 FA Cup final team were there, and it was nice to see them again.

It was a game of two halves. Leicester could have been three up at half time but we came back really well and could even have won it with the chance Sam Vokes had.

I honestly came away thinking that Burnley are the better of the two teams.

Leicester have players with quality but I just felt we were stronger as a unit, and that overall we are the better team.

There’s no reason at all why we can’t finish above Leicester and if we can do that it would put us in a great position, because you would expect Leicester to be there or thereabouts.

I’m looking forward to this derby match against Blackpool tomorrow, and I’m hoping we can really hit top form again.

There have been a couple of games recently where we’ve been a bit lethargic but I hope we can really take this game by the throat.

We’ve had some good home wins against Blackpool in the last couple of years and hopefully this will be another one.

It’s a shame to hear that Sylvan Ebanks-Blake looks like he will be signing for Ipswich because I think he’s quite a good player and I was quite pleased to hear Burnley linked with him.

But there are plenty of other good players out there and I’m sure the manager and his staff will be looking.

I’m looking forward to spending Christmas with my daughter and grandchildren.

I wish everyone a very happy Christmas.
