FULL-TIME: Leicester 1, Burnley 1

BURNLEY created a one-point lead at the top of the Championship ahead of today's three o'clock kick-offs after coming back from behind at Leicester City.

The Foxes took the lead in the 14th minute from the penalty spot after Jamie Vardy went down under Jason Shackell and Ben Mee's combined challenge in the box.

The former Clarets loanee had seven goals against Burnley during his career, and duly took his tally to eight by sending Tom Heaton the wrong way from the spot - the striker's 10th league goal of the season.

Burnley were on the back foot for long periods of the first half but could have equalised through Danny Ings.

Kieran Trippier curled a cross into the box with his left foot and Ings glanced a header goalwards but the top scorer hit the post.

Vardy should have made it 2-0 just before the break after moving away from Ben Mee for a clear sight of goal, but fired narrowly wide across Heaton.

Burnley were better in all departments in the second half and welcomed an early equaliser.

Trippier's cross from the right found Ings 10 yards out and the striker made no mistake for his 16th for the Clarets this season.

Vokes might have put Burnley in front after a mistake by Ritchie De Laet at the back, but Kasper Schmiechel got a big hand to stop it.

In addition Burnley had two big penalty shouts ignored midway through the half and came under late pressure after the introduction of Gary Taylor-Fletcher.

But Sean Dyche's side resisted to secure a well-earned point at the King Power Stadium.

Burnley respects Blackpool to play good, predicting a 2-1 for Blackpool. that would be nice.

Fantastic result today in arguably the hardest fixture if the year!! We could have nicked it as well - Would have taken a point before kick off and expect we dhould have a good chance against Blackpool Saturday - Got my tickets and as through suspensions pool will need to keep making changes I am quietly confident!!

My realistic hopes for the seasons - pre season to stay in the league.

Now to stay in the play offs - I cant see automatic given the strength of the squads in the top 8 - But you never know??

Can I just say well done to Blackburn on reaching the dizzy heights of the top half of the league. You must be so proud of your players as they are starting to repay the £50 million a year wages they are stealing.

I believe dj Campbell had money on 3-2 as well so everyone's happy.

We are still in an automatic promotion spot by the way and looking down at your mid table set of hill monkeys.

I managed to catch half of the first half (Burnley were dreadful) and all the second, you were the better team by far and should have won, so whatever it was Dyche did at half time it worked.

Ings really is different class to anything else in this division, if I were you I would be extremely worried in the coming weeks, as we were with Rhodes over the last two transfer windows.

I can see several PL clubs desperate to stay up who will pay good money for him, and with the financial issues that come with relegation I suspect they will be making offers you can't refuse.

Dyche, in my honest opinion the best manager in this division, is getting a lot of headlines recently, he talks the talk and he is proving he can walk the walk, again, danger signs.

But credit where credit is due, well done today, I really did think they would stuff you! lol.

A prime example there of the necessity to ban these new 'legal highs'. Look what it turns them in to if left unchecked.

I know 'into' is one word but not in the case I used there. It's like communicating with the dim one in class this so I'll explain it in very simple terms, the better to be understood by your very simple 'brain'; In to is the adverb 'in' followed by the preposition 'to', rendering me correct to use it in that context and you, as ever (and ever and ever and ever) wrong.

And deny all you like but we ALL know your true position.

But credit where credit is due, well done today, I really did think they would stuff you! lol.

Yeah, we dropped 2 points away at a team with arguably the strongest squad in the Championship, BOO HOO LOVE I'm gutted ............ NOT!

20 games played, only 2 defeats and 40 points on the board.
Well done Sean and little ol' Burnley.
Another away game that you couldn't win. Burnley the championship draw bankers
Now let me see you stupid excuse for a human being.

How did your shower get on at Leicester?

How many away games have your shower won?

Come to think of it how many games your shower won in total?

And for your information up until yesterday QPR haven't had the best of times away from home and Leicester have had some indifferent results too.

The main thing is Burnley keep picking up points and are staying at the top of the table which is very important.

Yes we haven't been on a good run of late but then again look at the other teams in the top half. Derby are In great form at the moment and who stand out at present.

All teams in this league will have an indifferent period at some point. It's how you manage the team through that period that keeps you in the hunt to achieve the aim.

So stupid talk some sense at some point please instead of showing your jealousy towards Burnley oh not forgetting your infatuation with the Claret & Blue.

Great point , 2nd in the table, 11 wins, 7 draws and 2 defeats that's dire form isn't it ??????? Falls

A wee bit of free advice here; this is indicative of your fundamental problem - your inability to acknowledge defeat. This is something you've never been able to deal with and painting black as white or seeing 2+2= whatever you want is the crux of your woes.

You've only ever been accidentally or incidentally correct on anything you've splurged forth about on here and cling to those lucky chances as 'proof' but ignore all the myriad 'predictions' or claims you got woefully wrong.

Denial is what's keeping you anchored to the bottom rung of a very long ladder. But doubtless you'll deny that or fail to see it so there you'll remain with no possibility of improvement.

This is just a wee but of advice, incidentally, don't be thinking of this as some kind of correspondence, it isn't.

But credit where credit is due, well done today, I really did think they would stuff you! lol.
Liverpool will sign ingsin the next transfer window and you will drop like a stone, you have to sell unlike us we buy any one venkys have the money you don, t deal with it monkeys. Great weekend bstards can only draw and we beat the lions, yàaaaaaaàaaaaaa top 6 for us and bstards who gives a f.
A prime example there of the necessity to ban these new 'legal highs'. Look what it turns them in to if left unchecked.
Into is all one word bacon boy. I must admit, it might be a bit long for you.
Check out the championship form guide. That's your true position.

Sorry but in the instance you used it, it should have been one word. Just admit you were wrong again and move on, otherwise it will eat you up. The girl is right again and pork boy is wrong. Happens regular on here. Just like my prediction of your dip in form. Check out the form table. The girl's right again.

So I was right again then! I thought so, in future a simple yes will suffice.
Form table doesn't lie. If it wasn't for you tremendous start you'd be in trouble. Lets see how it pans out eh.

Well we all have wit, so you must be referring to yourself as the party who is so sadly lacking. Don't be so hard on yourself!

I for one do not pursue Blue & White pointlessly. Apart from when you are playing the Mighty Clarets, I wish you all the best. A fellow Lancashire side with a load of supporters I know personally.

I go after two parties who report to be Rovers fans. They are Mr Fake & BRFC. They are serial losers. Please don't join them with "the dingle's bubbles burst" and "sloppy slope". There was no bubble and thus nothing's burst. Slipped A BIT, I'll give you that. Pop, pop, pop? Is that you ****. Good luck next game. You might just need it. We won't struggle 'cos we are amazing!

I used to hope that Rovers would somehow pull out of the mess they are in but when I read bile like this I can’t wait for when the Venky’s pull the plug – and pull it they will. No self respecting Indian business will allow the losses like yours to keep piling up – unless they can write it off against Tax but the Fair Play rule will see that can’t happen.

Shouldn't it be the ferry spending the time in the Nile? I mean he/she might go home after work and live maybe 20/30 miles away from the Nile, or be on extended leave for some reason or even off on long term sick, in which case he/she will hardly spend any time on the ferry.

I'm sure it's the ferry you should be referring to and not the Skipper.

Clearly you have spent no time in Egypt my little Dingle...err, friend?
They live aboard the ferry and are usually either p 1 55 ed or stoned on hash, much like the average Dingle. Anyway this intemperant inebriation leads to what we nautical types call going overboard ( again similar to a Dingle when the Clarts have a few wins) but literally in the case of our tiddled ferry master
Hence he spends a lot of time in De Nile, whereas the ferry is on de Nile, as boats float you know
If in doubt nip down to the L & L and study the narrow boats, you will soon grap the concept
Btw your lead has reduced by two points this weekend, so 13 may seem a lot still but its only 4 wins and a draw . Still think you will be above us come March, hmm, back on De Nile again

We are sat in second place, averaging two points a game, unbeaten against the top six, lost only twice in 20 league games, unbeaten at home in the league since March, the best strike force in the league, the best goal difference, one of the best defences etc ad infinitum.

I can't believe that there are actually Rovers fans (not all to be fair, I;m thinking of Owd Nick who does give an honest appraisal) coming on here and actually having the stupidity to criticise a team doing far, far better than them. What in heaven's name is wrong with a draw at Leiciester? I would have taken that at the start and said so on here prior to the game. Any team in this division without exception would be happy with that result. Crowing over scarping a 3-2 victory over Millwall at home whilst having a go at us for a draw at what is almost certainly our hardest fixture so far hardly makes any sense at all and, yet again just shows how bitter Rovers fans have become. We have lost just one game in 16 and only 2 all season (in the league) and the worst Rovers can come up with is Ings is leaving, the bubble has burst, time is running out, bla bla bla!!! You lot should just man up and have the guts to admit that WE ARE GOOD!
If our bad run consists of 1 win in seven then consider the fact that we have only lost one in that period, with draws away to Leicester, Forest and Millwall. Huddersfield wasn't a disaster at 1-2, it was just a defeat which every team in this division will suffer occasionally. If that makes a bad run I'll take it any day. Next up is Blackpool reserves, a game every Claret will be expecting 3 points from.
By the way, Leicester have only taken 1 point from their last 3 games, has their bubble burst?

Each and every one of the 8000 who have abandoned all hope, well done, see it wasn't that hard to see sense.
The first step to recovery is to admit there's a problem, then seek a solution. Problem not enough income, ridiculous outgoings, solution lower the income.
Allowing your club to sink deeper into debt, then blaming the Venkys that's pure comedy, it were debt ridden when they took over, it'll be in receivership when they leave.

Just an afterthought. Some weeks ago Rovers fans were coming on here saying our good start was down to the fact that we had only played teams in the bottom half, apparently we had "played nobody". We have now played all 6 teams in the top seven and the stats run: P6 W4 D2 L0.
What's your explanation now?
Yes I seem to recall the village scarecrow Fakebellend going on about just this thing for a number of weeks. You can see it now can't you, every time ITS predictions get bounced back in ITS face IT sits there biting ITS arms and putting holes through the plaster board walls in ITS Shad bedsit with ITS shoeless dirty foot.

I see you have visited the cultural metropolis that is Burnley then?

And your jealousy about your superior neighbours is seriously threatening to take over your life isn't it?

Don't worry I have had a word with Blackburn Council and apparently there is going to be a support telephone line set up to cope with the several thousand bleating Blackburn fans who are upset and suicidal over Burnley's position in the top echelons of the league, while Blackburn plummet into financial and footballing oblivion.

Never mind kids, the sooner you realise that your little stint as top dogs is now over and you are resuming your historical place of being below Burnley, as you were before senile old fat Jack bought you the title - the better it will be for you to accept your place in the grand scheme of things.

Never mind all Rovers fans - soon be Xmas.

It will be nice after we beat Blackpool reserves to say that we are in the top two automatic promotion places at Christmas. It was predicted by some that we would be out of it by then. Yet here we are, still standing. What a magnificent time to be a Claret!!!
