AFTER No-vember came Glee-cember as Padiham finally got back to winning ways.

The Arbories club were happy to see the back of November having lost all five league and cup games throughout the month.

And thanks to a late winner from Kieron Pickup, Steve Wilkes’ side could get in to the festive spirit as they kicked off December with three vital points.

The Storks looked lively in the early exchanges and created a number of good openings.

And they took the lead in the 25th minute when Pickup (right) scored a wonderdful, mazy solo effort to beat Tim Deasy in the Northwich goal.

Padiham doubled their advantage a minute after the restart when a cross from Louis Mayers was headed home by Ben Allen.

But two goals in the space of four minutes pulled the visitors level meaning Padiham had it all to do again.

First Brian Summerskill pulled one back in the 64th minute before Jamie Phoenix found the back of the net to level matters.

However, Padiham regained the lead two minutes from time when Allen played in Pickup who rounded the keeper, kept his cool and slotted home from a tight angle to finally end the losing sequence.
