BARNSLEY’S caretaker manager Micky Mellon wants his side to give as good as they get against Burnley today.

The former Clarets midfielder is eager to add to the midweek win he enjoyed over Brighton in his first game in charge.

He expects a tough game at Turf Moor, but he is confident his players can be a match for their high flying opponents.

“Sean Dyche has got them working very, very hard for each other. We know we’re going to get a very tough game but we’re going in there off the back of a good performance on Tuesday,” he said.

“We’re going up there to try and get a result. We’re going there to trouble Burnley. We know what their threats are but we’ve got plenty of our own.

“We’re looking forward to getting that confidence back again and looking forward to trying for those three points.

“I know Burnley will be tough, but we’ll make it tough for them as well.”
