BURNLEY boss Sean Dyche has revealed that the club is looking to develop links with the local Asian community.

The Clarets boss and his players visited a mosque in the town last week and Dyche is hopeful of enticing more people to come and watch his side play.

Dyche was speaking at the annual shareholders meeting held last night.

The Burnley manager said: “We took the team out to a mosque last week but to be authentic with it, it can’t be a press stunt.

“We took them behind closed doors.

“There’s a group from that mosque who have 10 season tickets now. They come regularly now.

“There is work going on.

“It’s not an easy one because there has been unrest here, before my time, and links have to be built slowly and in a proper fashion.

“It has to be authentic and that takes time, but we are making some links “There’s been a shift in the community.

“It’s fair to say they like their cricket but it’s changing.”
