Blackburn Rovers boss to sanction Best over web post

LEON Best has risked the wrath of Gary Bowyer after the out-of-favour forward revealed in public that he has challenged the Blackburn Rovers manager’s team selection.
The Republic of Ireland forward was asked on social network site Instagram why he is not featuring in Bowyer’s plans.
Best replied: “The manager doesn’t want to play me because I told him the team he played against Doncaster was wrong so he said he isn’t going to play me.”
Best was referring to the 2-0 defeat at Doncaster Rovers on August 16.
He did not start the match but was brought on as a 66th-minute substitute.
Best started the 1-0 home loss to Nottingham Forest, after coming off the bench to score Rovers’ equaliser in their 1-1 opening day draw at Derby County.
The 26-year-old, who missed the majority of last season through injury, also said on Instagram: “If you score you don’t drop a striker, especially when he’s been out a year with injury and the team loses.”
When asked for his thoughts on Best’s comments, Bowyer said : “I’m aware of it and we’ll deal with that internally and if there’s anything else to inform you of we’ll do so accordingly.”
It is believed Bowyer was willing to send the striker out on loan even before his remarks on Instagram.
