AN OIL spill on the M40 has led to a lane shut and long delays this morning.
Traffic has been slow London bound after a multi-vehicle accident between Beaconsfield and M25 junction 1a.
Four cars were involved but nobody was injured, Thames Valley Police said.
Police and The Highways Agency were called at 8.16am.
Vehicles are waiting to be recovered.
The Highways Agency said there was an oil spill in lane four, close to the central reseravtion.
Update: At 10.15am The Highways Agency said that the lanes have all reopened.
