Whilst I totally agree that we need a strong manager (maybe Souness) I also would like to see the Venky's departure, but. Where would we be then? Although completely incompetent, it's their money that's keeping us afloat. The solution would be to get rid of Shaw Agnew and Shebby the snake... And appoint one director with a proven record (forget J Williams he would never work for these clowns) then hire a manager with a proven record. Why do we not want rid of Venkys now? It's going to come to an inevitable end sooner or later. why prolong it? They have no intention of taking the club forward , even if they were capable, they've had plenty of chance to do that.
Get rid of the B'stards now and start again. I think they'll be off next season anyway when they see the size of the 'crowds' on the ground. If they were shocked this season, they will be next.

not sticking up for venky's but i do think that shaw ,agnew and singh feed them that much s**t that they don't know any different . they should fire all three and get someone like peter kenyon who knows how to run a club

What I can't understand is why do people keep bleating on about Venkys, yet continue to line their pockets by attending matches. All they are doing is perpetuating the madness! Forget misplaced loyalty to the club, it's too late for that, people should vote with their feet and not spend another penny at the club until Venkysy realise there is no money to be made out of it. Only then would they consider cutting their losses and selling up. So what if the club is relegated again, with the right owners and management team the club would rise again, as they have before. Short term pain, long term gain. Simple! I would go as far as to say it is DIS-loyal to the club to allow the situation to continue.

The Walker trust touted the club all over and could not find a buyer... that was with a proven manager, the best boardroom in the country, and a squad of players worthy of the PL... And the only buyers were the Venky's....

I can't see anybody else buying Rovers and Venkys have put money in (I think, but perhaps it's all parachute payments, transfers etc, I haven't worked it out). Appleton could really talk the talk. Berg was a loyal Rover. Kean was something else. But all 3 did not have a successful proven managerial record. We've cried out for it for 2 years but Venky's have not listened. If they listen now and appoint such a manager, then Rovers have a chance and to stay up and get promotion again next year.

It's easy to blame, blame, blame but it doesn't help unless it brings positive changes. If there's anyone to blame it is Kean and all that has followed has been mainly because of his total *&%,;*@£$***

How can Venky's have a management team that are only interested in gaining the upmanship on each other with the club coming second and don't even speak or watch the match together. Who will pick the next manager, I hope it's not Shebby after the mess he made last time and no way does he understand the requirements of English football in my opinion. Both these men do not deserve to be employed by the Club and should be moved on. It is impossible for any business to succeed with this type of structure, Venky's wake up and take action or sell please.

Considering the speed with which Rovers are now falling down the league, losing fans and collecting multi-million pound liabilities I can only see one thing coming: administration.

Wish Souness would speak up and other more prominent ex and current footballers. Problem is, for two years all of these people were too busy sympathising with Steve Kean, slagging off the fans and questioning what they knew about football. Now most of them are admitting that it is actually a mess and the fans were right after all. I've read two articles in the nationals this week saying as much. One actually stated that the Rovers fans must be wondering what might have been had they got the support they are now getting from media and other fans.

John Williams is heading a consortium from Middle East to buy back Rovers from Venkys.
John Williams is the only man could save Blackburn Rovers FC from those Indians Venkys .Venkys have ruined our club relegated in Championship about 10,000 fans are staying way . There is a crisis in Ewood Park now who would want to be a manager of Rovers after all the sackings thats three managers in 8 months.Relegation is looming now and Rovers cannot win games and Rovers might be heading in League one like Leeds.
Venkys should sell up and go back where they came from they are not intrested in football club and take all these clowns with you Shaw,Agnew,Shebby Hendry and Modan.

I do not understand why people think that Venky's are putting money into the club. Throughout their ownership they have stripped the club of its main assets, namely our best players. They have continually been opaque about their dealings. Is it not more likely that they are taking money out of the club? If this is the case, then the sooner they are gone, the better.

Why do we not want rid of Venkys now? It's going to come to an inevitable end sooner or later. why prolong it? They have no intention of taking the club forward , even if they were capable, they've had plenty of chance to do that.
Get rid of the B'stards now and start again. I think they'll be off next season anyway when they see the size of the 'crowds' on the ground. If they were shocked this season, they will be next.

Because without anyone to take over (forget BRAG/BRITSIT they couldn't raise the money) we are losing around 2 mil per month.. whilst the Venky's stay the banks will chase them for the monies.... Souness comments hit the nail on the head as do Maltese blue and whites, I have'nt commented on here for ages because im like Souness as it now upsets me too much to talk about it, It's so obvious Venky's can't/don't have any intention of moving things in the right direction, I think when Venky's eventually leave they are going to leave Rovers with a mountain of debt we can't service, I really hope i'm wrong but i fear the worst.

We haven't been "sick" of Venkys since they took over. I was quite optimistic at the time. They came out with some embarrassing stuff early on (Ronaldinho etc) but I put that down to new owner bluster trying to get the fans on their side and show they meant business. Nothing unusual there.

It was a surprise when they sacked BFS, but not a shock; new owners want their own man in. Nothing unusual there either. We even gave Kean a fair crack of the whip. We didn't know who the f@ck he was but hoped they had come up with a gem.

Obviously they hadn't.

It was only when everthing started to go wrong on the pitch, Kean keeping his job and, more importantly, Venkys' abject running of the club coming into the public domain (especially Anderson's involvement, the Williams/Finn/Goodma
n and Paul Hunt letters) that we turned against them. And boy do they deserve it.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but if anyone was "sick" of them as soon as they set foot in the place, then may I suggest their motives were not entirely, how should we say, football based?

We haven't been "sick" of Venkys since they took over. I was quite optimistic at the time. They came out with some embarrassing stuff early on (Ronaldinho etc) but I put that down to new owner bluster trying to get the fans on their side and show they meant business. Nothing unusual there. It was a surprise when they sacked BFS, but not a shock; new owners want their own man in. Nothing unusual there either. We even gave Kean a fair crack of the whip. We didn't know who the f@ck he was but hoped they had come up with a gem. Obviously they hadn't. It was only when everthing started to go wrong on the pitch, Kean keeping his job and, more importantly, Venkys' abject running of the club coming into the public domain (especially Anderson's involvement, the Williams/Finn/Goodma n and Paul Hunt letters) that we turned against them. And boy do they deserve it. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but if anyone was "sick" of them as soon as they set foot in the place, then may I suggest their motives were not entirely, how should we say, football based?

Every now and then I have brought that period up and events at Rovers are all pointing to the same consequences. The hype at the start about Ronaldinho etc was just how the Bhattis started. Doesn't anyone remember it was Rovers who played Wolves at Molineux on the first day of the Bhatti reign? Dougan was in the crowd giving it large and promising the earth.
As soon as Big Sam went that was it for me with the Venkys. The similarities with the Wolves story are chilling. Up Rovers!

In the first place neither Venkys nor Shaw nor Singh know what a decent manager is and, even if they did, have zero credibility to get one. Venkys ended any hope of that ever happening by driving out the people who knew how to go about appointing a manager and had the respect within the game for that manager to at least consider taking the job.

No decent manager would ever work under Venkys, not knowing if it's Singh or Shaw they answer to. Not to mention the total lack of knowledge those two have about running a football club outside of Malaysia or Preston (and Shaw couldn't even do that). That wont improve if Rao, Rao and Desai stay on he other side of the World relying on feedback from those two big kids squabbling in the schoolyard.

I'm not a supporter of the time = success theory about managers; they all have a shelf life. Berg and Appleton may not have been the right men for the job (and who hired them BTW?), but the lord god almighty can't be expected to turn this or any other club around in two or three months.

Plus, what would constitute "turning it around"? Getting back into the PL? Do me a favour.

Our chances of returning to the PL with Venkys? Nil. Our chances of being in Div One next year with them? Very high. Div Two the year after? Quite possibly. Our chances of returning to the PL without them? Highly unlikely as there has been too much damage done. The club is worth dick at the minute and anyone stupid enough to shell out the three and six it would take to buy it would be lumbered with enormous debt and financial obligations (mainly ridiculous player contracts) with nothing or no-one of any value to offset it.

It's something of a Catch 22; we're f@cked (as a credible football club)with 'em and we're f@cked (financially) without 'em.

Still, here's hoping.

What I'm saying is it's virtually the same everytime a new owner takes charge. You only find out what they're like with time.

Wolves fans would have been upbeat when the Bhatti Brothers took over only to suffer what we are now and a whole lot more besides. Well, as it stands at the moment anyway.

But not all new owners have been Bhatti-esque in the way they have run the club they bought. You would have expected Venkys, who knew nothing about football, to have sought every last bit of advice from anyone and everyone at the club who knew anything about anything to do with football; they didn't and we're all paying the price for that. If they did take advice from Williams et al but still came up with the same hair brained business plan, then they are more stupid than I could ever have imagined.

Having seen what's gone on over the last two and a half years, we can have little doubt our fine old club is heading in one direction and one direction only. However, no-one would have predicted the speed at which that has happened. A fall from grace would have been no real surprise, but it should have been as a result of the natural laws of football and certainly in a more dignified manner.

That way we might just get what club does need, and what we had when they took over in Big Sam, an experienced and proven top level manager.

Alot of the Venkys decisions have unfortunately been motivated by cost.
In football, if you pay peanuts you get ..... Not that they would understand that saying!!!

First Jerome Anderson and Kean! Then messrs Agnew and Shaw...have manipulated the situation ( a club owned by people who have no knowledge of Football ) to screw as much money out of BRFC as possible.

Venkys surely cannot be so naive to let this carry on? The real problem are the people who are ultimately responsible for the running of the club Agnew and Shaw; Venkys need to get rid of them immediately.

Shebby Singh unfortunately is also responsible....but is Venkys ' own man ' ....so can't really see him going whilst Venys remain?

BRFC would be a realistic proposition for any investor just because of the potential involved in reaching the Premiership;but it all depends on how long Venkys carry on.

Personally as a third generation Rovers fan it is heartbreaking to see what is happening and frustrating not knowing how to change the situation. My own personal opinion is that boycotting home games by all BRFC fans would force Venkys into doing something.....how can you run a club with no supporters? ( mind you Burnley seem to manage ok! )

We live in hope.... even the Bhatti bros. eventually left Wolves.

Well said. The "fall from grace" as you put it, was inevitable. The only way we could slow it down was with a manager like Big Sam - who has always punched above his weight with what he has had at his disposal.
All water under the bridge now, but we have never replaced Big Sam and we head now to the gates of well under 4,000 which the Bhattis produced at Molineux.

I think we now need to take drastic measures in order to save our proud football club. I can't now go a day without thinking about what Jack Walker would be thinking. We need to save this club from going back to square one. Uncle Jack gave us a platform to compete and now we cannot let him down. I think we need supporters to go to the heart of Venky's in order to protest 50-100 fans. Something drastic need to happen AND QUICKLY. Before things get even worse. Venky's must go, and we all must join together to make that happen.

Further to my original comment near the top of this column, I am now shaking my head in disbelief at some of the suggestions and proposals on here. THEY should do this, THEY should do that, THEY should appoint suchabody, THEY should get rid of what'sisname. THEY have had long enough to do what needs to be done and THEY haven't done it!!!!! There is something YOU can do to change the situation, stop paying them your hard earned cash! Starve them out! It won't be pretty, but it will do the trick. Venkys have no interest in the club other than it's value, they have no history or passion for BRFC. That comes from YOU, the supporter. YOU can change the situation and secure the long term future of the club. Otherwise all rhetoric is futile, talk means nothing. DON'T BLEAT..... VOTE WITH YOUR FEET!!

lm afraid all the johnny come latelys are just a bit late,,these ex players and managers should have voiced their concerns the minute the Venkys sacked allardyce and appointed kean, whatever happens next the Venkys had better get the right man in or it really is the end of the line for Blackburn Rovers,,and that really would be criminal to the extreme,

I can't see what all the fuss is about and media attention. Where were they when we needed them to stop Kean. This is one of the better decisions to get rid of a underpreforming manager who should never have been appointed in the first place!
Let's give Scaby and Venky's some credit for undoing a mistake. However they now need to move forward and an experienced manager.
All this talk of boycotts, rubbish mostly from the 34's. We need to be backing the team at every match from now until season end.

They paid £20odd million for it and have lost about £14 million in two years (which includes the Jones sale but not the Rhodes purchase). Bearing in mind the club will only bring in enough to cover about half the wage bill this wear, there will be another £20 odd million to find.

If Venkys put that in it will be in the form of a loan - that's how benefactors do it; it would be liable to tax if they just gave them the cash (see Bolton).

The value of the club has plummeted and will continue to do so, whatever they do. enlighten us; where exactly is all this money they are "stripping" coming from?

Simple fact is, there isn't any and never has been.
