This must be the only job in the world when you do a bad job they pay you to go. What a joke he shouldn't be paid anything as the trash he made us play was a nightmare to watch. If anything there should be a clause for the fans whom paid to watch this rubbish that we should be compensated!!!!!

In the last few games without Murphy the midfield has been even worst. Murphy's form has not been good but at least Murphy can string a few passes than the ones who have played.

Dont follow the logic in this as we are still going to be shelling the money out if he stops for the full term of his contract. A deal may have been done if he was leaving so he could work elsewhere and thus not costing rovers the full sum. In any event if things continue theres going to be nowt left to pay him anyway

Since then they obviously saw Shabby on TV, a Malaysian with Indian background who was once MOTM against Shrewsbury Town and allowed him to convince them he actually did know what he was talking about.

Not many would feel sorry for venkys, I don't. Yes they were badly advised initially, but didn't learn. They already had John Williams on board, any proper footballing person would have told them he was a prized asset who would see them right. They can ignore the gutter press and the numpties on here, but the broadsheets, invluding their own Indian Times, were also critical of their actions from day one. Sticking to your guns is one thing, but doing it in the face of huge opposition from many sources, is as stupid as it is irresponsible

As for Berg, contracts are there to protect both sides so he has every right to be paid up. I am only disappointed in him because he slagged off venkys when they took over, saying no proper manager would work for them. And then took their shilling. Well, he summed himself up there don't you think?

Sorry to rain on your parade, but it does apply to Blackburn Rovers Football Club which is what will go before the beak, not Venkatesh Hatcheries, India or Mrs Desai and the brothers Rao. It is also Venkys, London that, on paper at least,bought the club, so they are not personally liable for anything.

Do you honestly think they (or any other football club / Limited Company "owner") would leave themselves wide open to be personally screwed? All owners of all Limited Companies are liable up to the value of the shares they own. That may be all of them and they may lose a lot if the business goes t!ts up, but only so much and they would still have a home to live in (or sell). A lot of sole traders cover themselves in this way; it costs a bit to be registered but is a safeguard against being made personally bankrupt. Limited Company; the clues in the title.

Similarly, Venkys don't have to turn up in court as they have no official position at the club.

Unfortunately for us, financially at least, Bevan's perfectly correct. They'll settle out of court anyway; just like Kean did and Appleton will, unless he's already sorted something out with the squabbling schoolgirls currently overseeing this farce.

As for the manager having a results clause in his contract; that would just never happen. Why should it? For a start, the manager is not totally responsible for results, especially if he takes over mid-season. We have to consider the players liabilty for results in all of this and do you think they would allow such a clause to be in their contracts?

Some forwards have bonuses for scoring a certain number of goals but there's no penalty if they don't. Do you think it would be fair on, let's say, Jordan Rhodes, if he had to shell out because he hasn't had any service? Hardly.

Plus, why should a manager agree to that when he knows he'll get a payout if they do sack him? They may have a compensation clause but that does not mean their sacking is based on x number of results alone. Also, "acceptable results" is subjective and just couldn't be put in a contract; acceptable to one man is unacceptable to another.

True, the two may be linked, unless that is his sacking comes as a result of infighting such as that going on at Ewood.

Let's not blame the managers for that; Humming Bird is only asking for what is rightfully his. He'll probably end up not getting it all, out of court settlements and all that, but there's no harm in him threatening to do it. It's a ploy used by a lot of sacked managers to get something sorted with the club if it's dragging its feet on paying up what it owes.

Same thing happens at Chelsea all the time. Abramovich gave Mourinho the hook, FFS. Every manager since must have known his tenure is highly likely to be brief but they'll come out of it wealthier for the experience. They may think they're the man and their egos may take a bit of a bashing, but them being sacked by Chelsea doesn't necessarily mean they won't get another (very good) job elsewhere (AVB, Ancelotti, even Ranieri for a while); chairmen know the unique way it works at the Bridge and won't think any less of the manager because Roman suddenly doesn't like the cut of his jib.

It's pretty obvious he never really wanted to hire DiMatteo but kind of had to when he won the Top 4 League. Couldn't wait to get shot though.

Besides, Abramovich has bought the right to hire and fire who the f@ck he wants. It may seem crazy and fly in the face ot the old theory which is always rolled out about giving a manager time but it seems to work; they win something every season.

Just a note for Steve Kean; Abramovich picks most of the players Chelsea signs and I don't hear their managers complaining. OK they are usually world class rather than the dross Anderson and Singh lumbered us with, but it would be have been interesting if it would have been brought up had he gone to court as a precedent.

UK LAW does apply to the Venky`s, because the contract is between a UK company and what was a employee of the UK company ,they wont turn up in court anyway it will be their legal representative , but if they did continually ignore the demand the authorities will simply sell up the Venky`s assets and pay Berg and also pay themselves fat admin and liquidation fee`s.

Good lad Henning screw them into the ground. Any nail in the vermins coffin is appreciated.

I don't understand the LMA being up in arms about the treatment of managers, treat them like employees in any other business. OK, when I start a new job, I expect to be on a 6-month trial period. If I'm sh*t at what I do, I will be sacked without any notice period. It's normal, if I'm not up to the task I'm employed to perform, noone turns round and gives me 2m at a tribunal.

I feel that the Board and the administration staff who are still left at the club are the one's to blame for the Berg contract fiasco.

After Berg's appointment I remember Shebby Singh telling us that he had just one target - promotion.

If that was the case, then clearly Berg's contract should have reflected that.

In other words he should have only been appointed until the end of the season but subject to a big financial bonus if he had been successful and achieved the club's target.

I would like to know just who was responsible for granting Berg a 3 year contract?
Whoever it was should have been sacked long ago.

With regard to any future appointment - how can any Rovers' fan have faith in Venkys / Singh / Shaw / Agnew after their recent choices?

Venkys need to realise that a manager is the most important person at any football club and if they do not appoint the correct person it costs the owners / club millions of pounds in the long run.

Much better to 'push the boat out' and get a man with the best credentials - assuming of course that anyone would now want to come to Ewood.

Urgent action is needed to sort out the rift in the Boardroom.

Given all the promises that we have had over improving communication with the fans, I find it amazing that the neither Singh, Shaw or Agnew have made any statement to the fans over this weeks events.

With a business the size of Venkys, they cant be stupid...but every decision they have made since taking over Rovers has been exactly that!!

Nothing wrong with sacking a manager who is taking us down the relegation route and they were right to sack MA after backing him so well.. It's the selection process in the first place that's completely wrong. It's as though they put all the non achievers names in hat and then draw one out. There are even rumours that they would like Tim Shearwood again. Absolutey crazy after all that as gone on. Shebby Sing and Derek Shaw should be taken well out of the picture and they must not be allowed to ruin this club because if these guys are allowed to continue they surely will ruin us in my opinion.

Unfortunately, as a manager, Roy keane is and has been a total failure.

Managing requires different skills and attributes. Players do not naturally have these qualities.
Few go on to accomplish the right attitude, skills required.
Yes too many might be taking their coaching qualifications but in practice they will still make poor managers.

It is evident that Roy Keane does not have those.

for example:
he still thinks hes a top player
but reality is he's not anymore
and still he does not see himself as retired...!!
he still thinks like the top player he was with quality players around him.

Actually, even at Man UTD where all are quality, it was common for Roy to get angry everyday with the players.
This increased towards the end of his career so much that Fergy. had to safe guard his other players and hence Roy had to go.

he has bought many players as a manager but most have been bad buys.
he rarely made a good choice with players bought most were average or not good enough..!

He has very poor financial sense.
his track record at buying players is very poor.

he gets angry very quickly.

he easily falls out with his players
if he does not get on with players.
he gets angry & he sidelines too many players.

In fact, Roy has fallen out with too many players and likely always to fall out with other human being and players because of his personality adn fiery temper & he wants all his way
so much that he would disregard or banish players. He would never play them again.

Hence with all the previous teams he has managed he has managed to have more players that he would not play again then those actually left to choose from. ....!!!!!!

He is a hot head and likely to fall out at any time, he is not dependable, he has no successful management record, & def. not BRFC management material.

We need stability, and success.
above all else we need a manger who can get on with all concerned especially winning over the fans and uniting everyone at the club.
We need someone to bring in quality players from the Uk and abroad. someone with connections to clubs and players.
We need someone who can take us back to the Premier and that requires someone who is hard working, someone who is not coming only for money, someone who can lead by example, someone who is motivated, someone who can deliver the results required by all fans, someone with charisma, style and passion.

what you need is to empty ewood for a few weeks and and the away matches and watch how they put it up for sale.....unfortunate
ly too many woevers fans are not willing to unite....you should take the LFC as an inspirational not one fan wanted tom and jerry in charge in the end it went to the high court but the fans won....take heed and execute!
