CADEN Fr John Vera Thompson would like to thank all the doctors and nurses who took care of Fr Caden during his final illness, especially Dr Robertshaw and Dr Anderson who looked after his welfare for many years. Thank you to Bishop Seamus Cunningham for being the principle celebrant at what was a wonderful celebration of the life of Fr Caden. Many thanks to Father’s brother priests who concelebrated. Thank you to Fr Swales for helping to keep Fr Caden ministering to his beloved people almost to the very end, very much appreciated.I knew Fr Caden was well known and loved for the man he was but even I was overwhelmed by the generosity and respect shown to him by the Co-operative Funeralcare and Ceddeseld Hall by giving their services free of charge. Many thanks to David and Sue for their guidance and help. Thanks to the many people who sent mass and sympathy cards, letter of condolence and flowers. Last and by no means least a huge thank you to the parish family without whose love and support I would have struggled.
