Appleton hits out at Rovers players
6:37pm Saturday 2nd March 2013 in Football
MICHAEL Appleton blasted Rovers' first half display as "unacceptable" after seeing Rovers drop to 12th in the Championship with a 3-2 home defeat to Peterborough.
The Rovers boss was furious as his side allowed a Dwight Gayle hat trick in the first 27 minutes take the game away from them and admitted he was "astonished" by the attitude of some his players.
He said: "It answered a few questions with certain people today. I think what happened today has been the problem over the previous five months.
"It is a division that you can grind results out if you are disciplined and organised and willing to put a shift in.
"There weren't players in that first half, that, for me, looked as if they were motivated to try and win a game of football. If the rules had allowed I'd have made six or seven changes at the break rather than the three I did make."

Your PL days are well and truly over and done with, and you are not retuning to it any season soon. Of course, many Rovers supporters will stick their fingers in their ears (I imagine, a lot will use their thumbs right up to their wrists) and declare they cannot hear the awful truth, that their team has become consistent in dire performance.
I had you down for a draw against Peterborough, but even I had not contended with your team's ability to throw a game away, and at home, too. Bolton next, and they WILL take the three points!
For this Claret's supporter, you don't look all that formidable anymore. Burnley's players will be eyeing you as a prize for the taking, especially having played you earlier in the season and vanquished the nerves, and having seen how lowly Peterborough came, saw, and conquered you with aplomb.
I guess the Claret's 1-2 victory over you at Ewood will be a bitter pill to swallow, but like I said, things have to get worse before they get better!

Forgive me if I have made this point before but under Steve Kean we were top of the Championship and third when he was forced out by our knowledgable fans and the wise Shebby, the snake Singh. Since then we have had two permanent managers and two interims. We have released some of the most creative players in the Championship in Rochina, Formica and Vucevij and replaced them with a rabble of rag tag loan players, mercenaries and assylum seekers. We are now an utter laughing stock, a total shambles of a pub team with no heart, commitment, pride, quality or leadership. Unfortunately, the majority of posters on this site are so entrenched in their pathological hatred of Steve Kean that they will still try to persuade us that Appleton needs more time to build a squad and seem to support his attempts to swell the wage bill by recruiting more lower league cast offs. Henning Berg was naiive and inexperience but at least tried to play football. This yard dog has no endearing qualities whatsoever and I can only praise the Venky organisation for not entrusting him with any real money. At least we can ditch the dross that he has recruited at the end of the season and he can take them with him to Barnet, Shepshed Albion or wherever he ends up.
I expect to see adverts in the Situations Vacant pages of the National Papers next week for a Chairman, Managing Director, Coaching Staff and very smart Lawyer to find loopholes in the contracts of the overpaid, underperforming nomads currently parading themselves in our Blue and White Shirts. I could go on but I am too keen , pardon the pun, to see the posts of the soft headed Appleton Apologists giving me the thumbs down. Bring it on Lamebrains.

Appleton has clearly got a big job on his hands. We have a lot of players who are a waste of space, and he has already shipped out a load of deadwood, show ponies and players not willing to put a shift in. Can't really fault anything he has said here, and I hope he fellows it up with actions. Drop the wasters, bring in some hungry young lads from the reserves (or out on loan), avoid defeat off the Dingles, have a crack at Millwall, and start again in summer.
The blame for this defeat, and the entire situation we find ourselves in is down to Venky's.

Good result for the Rovers. I say this not with 'tongue-in-cheek', but in sure knowledge that before things get better, they have to get much worse, before 'real' action is taken to fix things properly...and it won't be Appleton's fault, it'll be the player's.

True, Bentley was quiet today but why not take Olsson off and put Pedersen on instead? Murphy was a dead cert to take off but the hat-trick didn't come from Orr's side. So he told some irate gob-sh1tes to eff-off. Big deal. If fans give it, be man enough to take it. Henley could have gone to left-back.

he talks about the players not performing and it explains a lot of the last five months....maybe so; however, his substitutions included orr (who has only been brought back by appleton) and bentley (who has just arrived on loan) of his three HT subs only murphy can be included in the 5 month context. equally, rekik and campbell are recent arrivals and dont look up to the job to me and campbell don't seem to care.
frankly, i like appleton's honesty after games - BUT (and its a big BUT) it's starting to get to the stage of sh!t or get of the potty. we all know we have a much weaker squad than the outside world believes we have but it is down to the manager to try to manufacture silk purses out of a sows' ears. yes, we are fitter.....but the division's (arguably) best srtiker is feeding off scraps......we have the worst number of goals scored at home in d2 (i refuse to call it championship) with the exception of barnsley.
park this season - lets hope we get a wembley appearance out of it and sort this rabble out from may onwards
and jarrod (keep darwen green/8 ball deluxe, or whatever you are calling yourself this week) - if appleton can wade into the players then so can the supporters - don't give me any of your "i'm a bigger and better fan than you" - virtually everybody on here cares about rovers and if you keep on doing what you are doing - you are gonna keep on getting what you're getting and just accepting the likes of what was put in front of us today is to accept mediocrity. orr (brought back by appleton), rekik (appleton) campbell (appleton) bentley (appleton) even kean - has been given a free run by appleton - these are not fester's choice this time around (although i accept the clown signed orr originally)

The collapse of the deals he set up for Jerome Thomas and DJ on the transfer day deadline illustrate clearly his transfer budget - it's a mighty £0.00.
It has been made clear to him that to bring people in he had to ship people out. Rochina is too selfish - a luxury we can't afford. Formica was no more than OK. Shipping out Vukcevic I don't really understand, but if we needed to lose him and the Portugese lad to bring in Bentley/Thomas then fair enough.
He has only had emergency loans and free transfers to cover an injury hit squad of players lacking in morale and motivation for reasons that boil down to VENKYS, but somehow he's brought in DJ Campbell, David Bentley, Williamson (a quality utility player) and Jones (MOM and a goal on debut!). He's shown faith in Kean who's been excellent in goal and brought in the striker from Everton who seems to be setting the Reserves alight.
Orr is back in the team because there wasn't a free t/f or a loan option out there and we lack any reasonable alternative in the existing squad.
With the resources available to him, he's done the best he could.
No way we're getting promoted this season, but it's certainly not Appy's fault. Whilst I understand why players like Givet are disillusioned, I don't accept their excuses. They've had the chance to prove themselves and been found wanting.
So a plea to the players - it's been a tough couple of seasons, but if you put in an honest shift you'll be cheered as heroes win or lose. If you don't make the effort you'll get booed. Get into 'em or get out.

I dont mind loosing if the effort commitment and attitude are there but today from the strat it was wrong - that is Appletons responsibility not sufficient to accuse the players.
New start at Bolton on Tuesday? I have to say I would rather have a 60% fit Givet on the pitch than some we saw today. At least his commitment is 100% when he is on the field.
If Best is out for some time we need a Shefti Kugi to hold the ball up - Rhodes will score if you give him the service - even Jason Roberts would give an option and I never thought that 18 months ago but we are where we are and the table does not lie - forget the Premiership its back to survival this season - maybe the Cup has been the distraction we could have done without.

facts and figures.....!!!
it would cost at least 35-50 M to buy BRFC,
it would cost at least 20- 30 M to get the players to achieve promotion
and
it would cost at least 40-60 M to run a decent team in premiership
and every year you'd have to spend atleast 10 -15 M to stay in Prem.
Anyone out there got that sort of money...??
Anyone know anyone with that amount
willing to invest in BRFC...?

Appleton must decide next game should he play these has beens ?introducing the loan signings Jones and Stewart was a good move, the club pulled two goals back otherwise Rovers were nearly embarassed by loosing 3 nil.
Murphy should be dropped as captain Bently and Orr are just tired old has beens.Campbell just doesn't shine when it's matter and Lowe is just a young learner.missing Richards and Best.
Venkys were here at Ewood today just what they saw was a team which is a laughing stock that can't even beat the likes of Peterbrough Burnley Hull Leicester Millwall now and last season Rovers beat Man Utd.Venkys must spend if they are ambitious or Rovers will in this league for a long time like Leeds Nottingham Forest etc etc. With 13,000 crowds and 10,000 are staying away, Venkys have destroyed what once a great club .

Keen O to Get Kean Out wrote:Yeh they canceled the contract with Holland and got cheaper Clayton park. Cheaper everything with venkys . Sitting watching that tripe today, couldn't help thinking how I'd sat in the same seat watching wonderful Tugay, Pedersen put a free kick in when we needed a goal, Shearer, Bellamy, Duff weave through a defence, Lucas Neill put a tackle in, players like Bergkamp, Beckham, Ronaldo, Henry, Gascoigne grace our pitch. That lot today were like a sunday league team in comparison excepting Rhodes who is wasted. We at least have had the pleasure of watching top class players over the years. More than them singles will ever see.

I could have sworn it was Appleton brought the waster Bentley back to the club: failed player, bad decision.
I could have sworn it was Appleton picked the side that came out at the start: Murphy on, Jones on the bench, bad decision.
Getting a dressing down of this dullard must be like getting savaged off a dead sheep.
Funniest sight of the day? The Venky chumps' swift exit to the safety of Jack's room after Boro's third went in never to re-emerge.

Is showing his total lack of experience
Has lost the dressing room no doubt after today
If not that, will have caused huge factions within it.
Has begun the blame game to deflect from his own incompetence.
Facts:
1 - He has consistently picked players out of position. - His fault
2 - He along with his trusted mates - inexperienced learners on the job apprentices - has continued to pick certain players that having analysed them in his / their first week and seen them in training virtually every day knew were not good enough. E.G. Murphy - His fault
3 - Lowe is a reasonable right back (has always been better than Orr) not a midfield player. - His fault.
4 - He has criticised players in public - Something all great managers never do - They just have a quite word and then don't pick them again and move them on just like Ferguson has done for years. - Dont make a big song and dance about it - His fault
5 - He will have lost some of the dressing room with tagging most players unfairly with the same brush. - His fault
6 - His tactics are useless - Today was no big managerial master stroke anyone with any nous could see that we were on a hiding to nothing if he had not changed anything at half time - Mourinho at Chelsea didn't even wait until half time in some games before making changes. That's experience.
7 - Cosied up to Orr on his return to the club saying he is a great person to have around the place - Oh yeah - Now what is he going to do with Orr.
8 - Has signed inadequate players for the job at hand.
9 - Getting into the top 6 was his challenge and I believe he has now lost all hope of achieving that ambition.
10 - Is quickly making his own excuses for not having achieved it for he sees his job and fragile reputation on the line.
11 - Has by his own admission on television failed to communicate with players and certain club officials (they have my number if they need to speak to me) - How about picking the phone up and speaking with them as your paid a boat load of cash to do.
That's a few for starters
Need I continue.
I would not leave the rebuilding of our beloved club to this absolute clown.

Lowe and Murphy should be replaced by a pair of 2x4's which would provide much better ability to the team.
Campbell, should instantly be dropped and Gomes should be playing or even drop Murphy or Lowe and have Campbell through the middle and Gomes and Rhodes upfront.
I still think Pedersen is the best player for the left side just needs to be given a chance to rejuvenate himself to bring back his previous form, the same goes for Bentley. Having spent much of his playing time in the last couple of years on loan for different clubs and in different countries it will also take time, look at Santa Cruz for example hes playing and scoring for Malaga and this has come due to constant games.
I think Dunn should get a game, he cannot do any worse than Old Man Murphy and is one of the only players to have passion left for the club, i also believe that along side Jones he will play quite well.
And someone needs to have a word with Rhodes because aside from scoring he is not doing enough, on the training ground he needs to work at creating chances for himself not relying on through balls or crosses.
As for the team i think everyone who Appleton feels performed pathetically today needs to be fined this weeks wages and that money given to charity or even back to the supporters.
As for Appleton himself he needs to stop demanding a change to the media and kick some **** in the club, fine some people, tell them to prove there worth....Anything to show them how unacceptable their performance is.
But lets face it, Orr and Murphy will be back playing soon after he has had a quiet word in their ears telling them that "you have not been bad but i still believe there is room to improve" Give me some Fergie Hairdryer kicking treatment any day of the week.

Orr was beaten far too easily but he had no cover whatsoever, yes he was getting stick, deservedly so, but his response while understandable was totally unacceptable.
Appleton is right, 6 or 7 changes were necessary at half time but he made the right ones he was allowed to under the circumstances, the two new guys put a decent shift in in difficult circumstances, it was good to see the effort in midfield at last and Jones grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck.
Shame he's only on loan.
The idiots and doomsayers screaming for Appleton's head, never expected to see that (role eyes) We can't sack managers every time we go on a loosing streak.
Too much deadwood still at this club picking up good wages for falling over every time the wind blows, bench warming or whinging in the background.
Appy needs to clear them all out at the end of the season, bring in more like Jones and go for it next year.

Dire first half, embarrassing, call it what you will, midfield totally absent leaving the defence wide open yet again. Murphy couldn't tackle the skin of a rice pudding, a 10 year old could have knocked him off the ball today.
Last time I wrote on these pages I was told my criticism of Bradley Orr was wrong, yesterday I don’t think anybody would have been surprised if he had been hooked after 30 minutes. The half time brew was a pleasant distraction and my thoughts turned to wondering if Appy had the bottle to show Orr, Murphy and Campbell the early bath. As Meatloaf would say, 2 out of 3 ain’t bad. Frankly I was considering substitution combinations for all of them bar Kean, Hanley and Rhodes.
Putting aside the frustration of the result, the second half was actually fascinating. Peterborough took their foot off the gas and simply tried to kill the game by possession and running down the clock, if they had continued to focus on attacking I suspect they could have made it 4 or 5. As it was Blackburn slowly started to turn things around.
The real revelation (particularly if your name is Murphy) was certainly Jones, an average midfielder, who came on and did the central midfield job properly, frankly something not seen in our Blue and White shirt for a few years. He got up and down the pitch, broke up their play by closing down and tackling, opened up our play with a decent range of passing, and drove forward with the ball to weigh in with a goal of his own. Yes, he’s not Jack Wilshere or Stephen Gerrard, and he made a couple of mistakes, but overall delivered the performance that we need and should expect from a premiership centre-mid stepping down a division. Frankly, if we can avoid coaching this out of him, he might be worth a punt in the summer. It was also obvious that Jason Lowe looked far more comfortable than he does trying to figure out what Danny will do next.

During today's game we had 5 players signed on 3 month loan deals.
That must be a record for Blackburn Rovers FC and shows how far we have fallen since Venkys took over.
What must senior full time professionals like Gomes, Goodwillie, Pederson, Dunn, Robinson, Givet etc feel like when they are ignored and overlooked in favour of players such a Campell, Rekik, Stewart, Willamson etc.
They are no better than what we have already.
Rekik offers nothing going forward, Campbell hasn't really looked like scoring in 6 games, and Stewart looks lightweight for this division and is probably the reason why he has been released by Steve Bruce at Hull City.
The players showed little fight in the first half today and Murphy and Orr in particular were pathetic.
But hey, if the manager dosn't show that he wants to win home games (like Leeds last week when he was content to play out a 0 - 0 draw without using his subs) why should the players.
Can Appleton motivate his players - on the evdence of today, I don't thnk he can.
The only plus point was the 2nd half peformance of Dave Jones.

I've said, and many others have said, that the reason we have had a poor season was because the midfield wasn't right. First half was so easy for them, Murphy doesn't have the composure, vision, passing range that he used to. At Fulham he had players like Dembele and Ruiz to offload the ball to quickly, now that's taken away, he has nothing. Jones is on another level compared to him.
Peterborough knew from the start are midfield was dysfunctional, in fact every team we play knows this. They don't care if we have Rhodes, the top clubs in the league didn't even let Rhodes have a chance against them because they put two men on him as well as our midfield not being able to get the ball to him anyway.
Stewart was good too, he had a desire to rip his man to shreds, like Josh King does. We need this on both wings so we can cause more problems. I think a player like Jones can also help Lowe develop better, Lowe will have more confidence playing alongside someone who's got quality.
Let half-wits blame the manager, we need patience. I'd rather wait 6 months for success than have my cake and eat it. This isn't a case of Appleton being a bad manager, how can we be an attacking side with two defensive mid's as our central midfield?!

I have to say I disagree with the negative comments about Appleton. So far he has been brutally honest from the word go in stark contrast to his 3 predecessors this season. He started OK and made it clear what he needed.

And another thing.......stop whining on about Kean`s signings. He had no say whatsoever in who came and went during his tenure. He was handed players by self serving agents then expected to mould them into a team. Properly admitted that he had never seen many of the players thrust loon him and those who left during his regime did so for purely mecenary reasons. I say it again, for the benefit of the terminbly stupid, I was not a supporter of Kean but have absolutely no doubt that he has proved himself a more successful manager than his two semi permanent successors. Those of you who undermined his position and ultimately hounded him out share the responsibility for dragging us down to these depths.
The first batch of players he had "thrust" upon him were courtesy of HIS OWN AGENT.
Like BFS, it's not sacking the manager that is the problem, it's who replaces him - not that Venkys sacked Kean, of course. He got the job under false pretences, shall we say, and only started denying all knowledge of the players which had been"thrust upon him" when he wasn't happy with the people doing the thrusting.
He knew from day one what the score was and went with it - he wouldn't have got the job otherwise. If he felt SO strongly about being undermined, he would have walked away a LONG time before he did. Up until the heejut Singh became involved (and even after that) Kean made plenty of decisions who to buy and, up to that point, had been happy to accept those he hadn't.
Irrespective of who took over, it was essential this contemptible man was kicked/driven out. He should have gone at least six months before he did, sacked or walked and even that is about six months after he should not have been given an option.
I note there hasn't been a queue of clubs chasing his services. As if his record wasn't bad enough, it would not surprise me if those within the football circles are also fully aware of how he got the job; he is damaged goods, even you know who can't manufacture a way to get him a manager's job.
I know you are not a fan of Kean's but don't suggest we are in worse position because he's gone. There was a general concensus on here that the early season results were a touch fortunate. Whether that would have led to us gaining a bit of momentum and going on to win a few more, who knows? It's impossible to prove, one way or the other; personally, I doubt we would have been in a situation too disimilar to that we now find ourselves except the discontent would have reached an unbelievable level had Kean still been here.
Kean was the embodiment of everything which was (and still is, regrettably) wrong with Venkys and the way the club is run. We are in this position because of them, no one else.
I wouldn't wish him or Venkys on anyone.

Surely the Apple apologists recognise that things are getting worse after the initial bounce that a new manager usually gets.
By this stage both Sparkie and Big Sam, who took over in desperate circumstances, had sorted the wheat from the chaff and brought in useful players.
A dozen games on and Apple doesn't have a clue. What do some of the squad think when a loanee from Hull reserves walks straight into the team ? Talk about vote of confidence.
How can a team of five loanees gel ?
Where are our youth squad ? For five seasons at least we've had good youth teams but Henley is the only one who's been given a run out. I and thousands of Rovers fans would prefer to see us stumbling but giving some youngsters a chance, rather than trawling the fourth hand market for cast-offs.
When we had Sparkie and Sam, Rovers still had a reputation which could act as a draw - nowadays we can only get dross like DJ Campbell, Etuhu and last pay cheque Murphy.

He did not make the decision yesterday - he picked Murphy and played players in the wrong positions to begin with.
He was left with absolutely no alternative but to make changes.
That was not him being a good manager, in addition he has slagged the whole team and IN effect club off on National Television.

He left that struggling formation until we were 3 down and it was too late by then. Hurling abuse at Murphy and Orr is plain stupid. It isnt going to improve their skill. Murphy cannot play in this league. That problem is the consequence of the moron Kean and we now have another year of paying Murphy.I also thought he was wrong with his public criticism. He can be honest without being so scathing of the players he has to now manage and motivate. If some didn't respect him already, they wont now. His summary was correct all except he didn't accept any responsibility himself. They were rubbish on Tuesday night and he has basically admitted he hasnt been able to get a better performance from them following that.
Will P wrote:Let half wits blame the manager - I am gladly a half wit then.
Seeming as i'm in the 'next season' mind set I really don't care about the result. In fact, this game highlighted the weak-links of the team easily.
The manager is the half wit continuing to play sub standard players until it is thrust upon him to doing something about it.
He did not make the decision yesterday - he picked Murphy and played players in the wrong positions to begin with.
He was left with absolutely no alternative but to make changes.
That was not him being a good manager, in addition he has slagged the whole team and IN effect club off on National Television.
What an absolute Joke.
Yes make assessments as to what needs to be done and go about your business in an EXPERIENCED professional manner - two things this idiot is incapable of doing.
I for one (and I don't care if I am the only supporter that thinks it) would not trust him and lets not forget Shaw, Agnew and Coar in the background with the rebuilding of our beloved club.

I wouldn't wish him or Venkys on anyone.

this is the same cockney media mafia that informed the world that kean and his north london puppetmaster that slagging of a team's supporters is exactly the right thing to do.

Silly mistake causes drop like anything. Start to get rid of big pay scale players stright away and get few quality young guns, who can play more creative in this level and be hungry for sucess.
Get more impact players from other teams on loan as real emergency to keep continue to win next 10 games.
I feel Best and Fabio Nunes are better to get into startting 11.
Kazim is a loss for us, he is very aggrasive and make impact on the run.
See Nani is avalabile from Man.united. ask Nuno Gomes to talk with Nani for 10 games package.

Appleton's an absolute disgrace.
I would not leave the rebuilding of our beloved club to this absolute clown.

looking at the cross that leads to the first goal, no one was putting pressure on the person taking the cross, rekik/olsson gave them far too much time and space, the goal then happens because of the weak nothing clearance by orr, its so important to clear the ball out properly at the first opportunity, there should be no second or third bite at goal,
...second goal rekik tried to avoid the ball- giving away a free header at goal, the third goal was clearly offside should never have stood if the lineman was awake, sometimes results like these need to happen to jolt the manager into action and force to him address certain decision that he's skirting around and need to be made straightaway

Has Appleton gone yet?

Venkys will invest in Rovers about £10 million to £15 million a year but they will not break the bank like Abromavich or that Shiekh at Man City.
Some investors will not go crazy spending on their football clubs it's the facts.
Football clubs are toys Billionaires play with on their spare times like Horse Racing, and Motor Racing.
No manager of any repute would work for Venkys you are wrong there are plenty of managers out of work and many did apply for Rover's vacant manager's post.Shaw appointed Appleton as Venkys didn't get involved this time because of BERG fiasco last time,

There isn't £14M lying around waiting to be spent (or "sold", however that works).
You don't get parachute payments AS WELL AS the £40odd M in TV money, You get it INSTEAD OF the £40odd M.
Unfortunately the players' wages don't reduce at the same rate. I'm afraid the parachute payments are loooooooong gone.
I missed the bit about the £24M share issue but raising funds in that way is usually to get rid of a club's debt (usually the debt to the owners); a bit like Jack Walker (RIP) did or, possibly, just a way to generate some cash to help cover the above loss without getting hammered for tax.
Technically the club still owes the money to the shareholders, but as Venkys own all the shares and therefore the club, they would only be giving their own money back to themselves, not that the club could afford to pay it all back in any case. Any sale to a third party would depend on their market value which, at this moment, is jack.

facts and figures.....!!!
it would cost at least 35-50 M to buy BRFC,.....??????
To get us out of Championship it would cost at least 20- 30 M to get the players to achieve promotion
3- 5m for a decent player at least
and we need at least 6 players
and
it would cost at least 40-60 M to run a decent team in premiership
around 5 -7m - per player
and we would need 6-7...!!
and every year you'd have to spend atleast 10 -15 M to stay in Prem.
Anyone out there got that sort of money...??
Anyone know anyone with that amount
willing to invest in BRFC...?
One thing for sure No honest /real businessman would bother....!!!
our 'Uncle Jack Walker' did it but he didnt do it for the money
he did it because he was a fan
he was a supporter of BRFC
he gave all he got for his beloved BRFC.
Anyone out willing and able to give some support and love to our BRFC these days.....!!!
The least we should should ask for .!
The badge the honour....,,BRFC.
it seems as if many people cant even give support and be a fan of this great club these days...!!!
Blame everyone else....on earth...!
but not ourselves..!
He gave all to the club and got his rewards.
Unfortunately, many people have forget that we need to give our support the BRFC the club and continue supporting through thick and thin and especially through this difficult transition....!!
lets hope we can come through all this but it will need the support of the fans.
Uncle Jack did it and showed us how it can be done....!!
so lets learn from the lessons ou Uncle Jack who gave all to the club and the least people should do is be a fan and support the club...BRFC needs U all.
And thank God he 'Uncle Jack' achieved what few teams in England have done in the history of Premiership.
That is to win it, we are in an elite club of teams who have won it.
Maybe we will never win it again.
but our dream lives on to get back into the big time...One day, sooner then later. Hopefully next year.

He's not alone, the football world is full of managers who bite the bullet, take the money but don't know their ar5e from their elbow. Let's face it footballers aren't the sharpest knife in the drawer & the majority of them would do well to get a job digging ditches if they couldn't play football, so what do you expect when they become managers.
For F's sake he picked the b@stard side on sat, his choice of 1st 11. Or did he? Is he just the puppet on the Venkeys strings playing figurehead as manager? I suspect this to be the case & have done since they sacked Allerdyce because he wouldn't have the team picked for him or be told who to sign.
Forget different players , forget a different manager , this club I love dearly will only turn around its fortunes when that shower of 5hit from India have gone.
The best course of action on Saturday when P.boro went 3 up would have been for ALL the Rovers fans to get up and leave the ground and then and only then the bunch of smug t0ssers in their private box above the tunnel are left looking at 200 away fans in an otherwise empty stadium. Maybe then , the message would have got through their thick skulls, that they are NOT WANTED AT EWOOD PARK OR ANY OTHER PART OF BLACKBURN ROVERS FOOTBALL CLUB
