How much clearer does he have to make his contemptuous feeling known? He is unfit, both mentally and physically - get rid!

Gael is an emotional french man. It's what made him play with such commitment. I'm sure he will get criticism for his comments and they probably are over dramatic however money aside I have sympathy for him. He was fine under big Sam and the JW regime because it's was a proper managed club and that's the least a professional footballer should expect. Only since then has he had problems with the football side of things. Nobody can deny it must have been a c@@p place to work. I know what that's like. Money doesnt make it more tolerable. It's frustrating and makes you miserable unless you are completely apathetic

It's shocking that we have a highly paid professional footballer on thousands of pounds a week, who isn't injured, but he isn't fit enough to play. How has it been allowed to get to this?

Seriously though I don't care what his attitude was under Lardarse, that is in the past, done and dusted and no amount of yearning for the "Good old days" will bring that back for players or supporters.

Yes when he actually wanted to play for us, "Tailors fees" accepted, he was great, put his heart and soul into every match.

But he has a serious attitude problem which isn't good for someone who is a highly paid professional athlete.

As a professional athlete it is his responsibility to keep himself fit and ready to play as and when required.

Appleton has made it very clear from the moment he walked into the club, we have an unbalanced squad and players who either don't fit in or don't want to play for us.

I hope that Appleton can turn him around, I really do, but if he can't, ship him out, fast.

Looks like MA has given GG one last opportunity to show what he can do - which will do two things - get him back in the Rovers team again and also put him in the shop window for the move away he wants. Sound man management from MA.

Don't believe that nonsense about fitness it is just a way of getting round the fact that they have been leaving a good player out and now realise they should be playing him, and by saying this they can save face. But it does sound like Venky's have been playing games with trying to get him off the wage bill and probably the same with Robinson.

In any other walk of life you'd face disciplinary action or the sack if you said you didn't want to work for the organisation any more. What is it about footballers who seem to think they are beyond reproach? Give him extra training with an ultimatum that if he doesn't buy into it he'll be shown the door with a cancelled contract!!

After you rightly put it, a shambles of a club from top to bottom, that has been run into the ground by Venkys and Steve Kean over the last 2.5 years, has had 5 managers this season, coupled with protests and boycotts.

And guess what - we're still above Burnley!

appleton has clearly been struggling to put a back four together, hence the need to get rekik on loan. if givet was ready, why would he waste the money?
also, as givet himself points out, venkys hardly seem set to get rid. demanding a high transfer fee, or saying you're not going out on loan unless you sack off the last year of your contract is hardly the action of owners eager to get rid of a player.

Never rated Givet anyway, always been a liability as a midfielder, he would be more suited to the right wing using his pace to get in behind fullback and his pinpoint delivery to land crosses on Sambas head.

I would like to see him get back to health and provide some experience within the back four even if he's playing as a LB, although i would tell him to never bother getting forward as he has very little pace. He is not afraid to get stuck into a tackle and saved a certain goal on many occasions, his passion and determination has been demonstrated over the years and i for one would be happy to swap him out for this 50/50 back four we have at the moment.

He's better than Dann, Hanley, Rekik and Henley. You only need to look at how many goals we have shipped with the current CB partnering in comparison to when he used to play with Nelsen and Samba....

Givet is the most overrated centre half rovers have ever had. What an absolute joke rovers fans are when they applaud him on the touchline. He is slow, a poor passer, poor communicator and when it comes to tackling his last ditch tackles are usually from his own mistakes! I've never seen a centre half be in the wrong position so often, just look at Blackpool away and boro at home this season. Awful. And he rarely gives the idiots who still love him the affection they deserve, probably cos he's not paid to do that. The froggy turd. I'll get the rope.........

The manager says its now up to Givet what's that supposed to mean,so if non of our players feel up to playing for what ever reason,its ok just take a seat on the bench and look available, what the hell is going on down there,we are still in a bloody mess.
