Kazim-Richards injury fear

BLACKBURN Rovers could be without forward Colin Kazim-Richards for up to two months with an ankle injury.

The Turkish international was forced out of the weekend draw with Leeds and will undergo a scan on the injury today, but Rovers boss Michael Appleton is fearing the worst ahead of tomorrow's trip to Leicester City.

With Leon Best, Dickson Etuhu, Paul Robinson and Adam Henley all working their way back to full fitness and Martin Olsson, Lee Williamson and Josh King also out injured, Appleton is expected to try and bolster his squad with a wide player in the loan market.

Wonder if he'll finally give Gomes some game time now.

Agree, would have thought if fit to play, Gomes should have come on for Campbell on Sat. Anyone know how far Josh King is from playing again?

Appleton should go into the loan market for a new physiotherapist! Rovers injury record is very poor indeed. CKR, for example, has only just come back from quite a long injury. While he is at it Appleton needs to get a club dietician as well for Dunny and Robbo and a gerontologist for Murphy.

This should read Kazim-Richards Injury dream!!!
Now can we shelve all plans for the longball strategy and get pace instead?

No, he'll play DJ upfront and bring in a wide man. Theres some expensive fee in the "appearance" section of Nunos contract me thinks.
