can't drive a rolls royce over open fields - get the right car for the right job get the players to do the job in hand.

Eckersley, I think you're forgetting that every time DJ Campbell gets loaned to a Championship team, he goes on a goal scoring frenzy. He is a bonus to our club.

Hull are well above us in the table and not too long ago were in the Premier League. They weren't a one year team either unlike Burnley and Blackpool, who are two cheapskate teams.

i've just got this image of shebby singh ducktaped and gagged to a swivel chair and locked in the utility room at ewood park. Sensible signings, proven championship players, i can finally see light at the end of a very dark tunnel for rovers. we've eventually realised that we are a mid-table championship side, and what we need to do to address that.

That's the fella couldn't remember his name. You're not inferung that you don't agree with him are you? Do you remember the performances he put in for us, the goals he scored? We turned a virtually unknown Congolese player from an unfashionable German club into a center half who was linked with all the cash happy top clubs every transfer window. Ok that's happened before due to our size etc and we've sold plenty, but and its a big BUT, before this shower owned us we used to replace with well scouted players who we turned once again into excellent players. Now we're scrapping around for cheap dog 5hit wanna be's/ never weres on freebies or little money .

Vucevic contract terminated - keep reducing our pool of attacking midfielders and signing strikers, because thats what we need - more strikers and less creation, because we all know rovers create chances like mad and that lad.jordan Rhodes misses the target every time.... Appleton needs to get a grip, the last thing we need is more strikers, I can hardly see kazim richards and dj campbell keeping rhodes and best out the team.

I think Michael Appleton has brought in another striker to cover when Best gets injured again, he is very injury prone and Kaz is only on loan till the end of the season. I think getting DJ Campbell is a good signing its just a shame we couldnt get Bentley back on the wing.
I still think we might just scab it into the play offs, I hope so.....

I am struggling to believe that Campbell and Thomas are better players than Rochina nd Vucevij. I wonder if Appleton feels more comfortable with mediocre journeymen than exciting flair players

Your "reasoning" epitomises everything wrong with the English game and the Premiership. Money, money and more money. Every club in the land is crying out for sugar daddies to inject millions. And if they do not, or cannot, or will not, they are failures. Doug Ellis at Villa was slaughtered by supporters like yourselves.
Brad Friedel makes the distinction between managers who are "improvers" and "importers". We very much need "improvers" now, because Venkys are certainly not going to throw money at us.
