That is very heartening, I am imagining that the re-introducion of King gave us some added potency to our attack.
I am also imagining that we played, as a unit, higher up the pitch again (as Tues nt). Something that gives the defence some breathing space to operate.
We just now need to build on this with our league games and hopefully some worthy additions being made this week.

- v charlton, very poor - but i remember rovers getting absolutely trashed and thrashed by boro at ewood in sparky's first game (and the next down at stamford bridge - first two games P2 W0 D0 L2 F0 A8 Pts 0)

- v brighton, much better tactics formation moving in the right direction (pity about the new wayne rooney's stupid error)

- v derby, excellent result, building on the brighton game.

next two games should allow the manager and the team to build on the last two games and then it starts to get a bit tricky and we will see what the new guy is made of - for first time in a while we can think its half full rather than half empty.

onwards and upwards - hopefully!!!
