Lowe: Wins are just around corner for Blackburn Rovers

By Chris Flanagan, Sports reporter
JASON Lowe insists victories will come soon if Blackburn Rovers continue to perform like they did against Brighton on Tuesday.
Michael Appleton looked set to record his first win as Rovers boss against the Seagulls, only for the visitors to equalise from the penalty spot deep into stoppage time.
That was a real setback for Rovers but Lowe says there is reason for optimism if they can retain the same performance levels – starting in today’s FA Cup fourth round tie at Derby.
“It felt like a defeat,” he said about the Brighton game.
“But we are back in work and focusing on getting to the next round of the cup.
“There is a lot of spirit in the dressing room and we are confident of what we can do. If we can put performances in like that, we are confident we will get the right results.
“In the Charlton game we didn’t create enough chances or have enough energy. We did that very, very well against Brighton.
“You have a game plan and sometimes you get it right and sometimes you don’t. You have off days at the office and some days you are bang at it. I thought we were bang at it.
“The main stat was not what we wanted but I am sure it will be if we perform week in and week out like that.”
Lowe is expected to fill in at right back today, with Chelsea refusing to give Rovers permission to field loan defender Todd Kane in the FA Cup.

It will only aid our efforts to reach the playoffs as if we beat a Premier League club it could give the players a taste of what they are missing out on and some much needed confidence. A big match, with over 20,000 at Ewood could kick-start the season.
Quote "In the Charlton game we didn't create enough chances or have enough energy.".....hang on you are being payed and payed well to perform week in week out....if i went to work and didn't do my job to the best of my ability then my gaffer would show me the door....i'm not being funny but you should be creating enough chances and giving 100% every game....as for the cup i hope we get knocked out so that we can put all our efforts into making the play-offs....or is that being too optimistic

Still would love to make playoffs and go up even with the squad we have
Always 6 or so poor teams in the lower Premier League every year.

As for wanting us to be knocked out, are you a burnley (or Derby) fan?
