Probiz extend Rovers deal

Blackburn Rovers have extended their commercial partnership with PROBIZ Excellence Ltd.

PROBIZ, which has over 400 accountancy offices, had already committed to stay as main shirt sponsor until the end of this month, but have now agreed to continue on the front of the famous blue-and-white halves until the end of the season.

Mr Nahaboo, founder, who was born in Blackburn, said: “There is a mixture of publicity facing the club, but that has never put me off supporting a club that will eventually stabilise and show its true worth and enter the Premier League once again.

“I'd like to support the club over the forthcoming years and look forward to building a relation with both the fans and management team. The good times are not far off and I believe the club can make the play-offs this year. I wish Michael Appleton every success in steering this club back to the top flight."

Greg Coar, Rovers’ Head of Commercial and Marketing said: “This is great news for the club. It’s fantastic that PROBIZ have enjoyed the initial stages of our relationship to the extent that they are keen to further cement their support.

"In fairness, Feisal did say he would invest more with the club as he became more familiar with club personnel and within a short period of time he has shown his personal and corporate integrity in his actions."

Great news but surely if this firm has 400 accountancy offices and a rovers fan owner he should link up and run the club on behalf of Venkys. Surely PROBIZ Excellence Ltd can do a better job than this PR firm maybe that's why Venkys are coming over. But I guess that would be to easy a solution for Venkys.

Truthfully, glad we've got a sponsor but I won't be getting it put on my shirt, I always think the shirts look better without a sponsor on the front!

We may have been better off asking his accountancy firm to run our club instead of Shebby who has lost the club over a million pounds in sacking H Berg after 10 games in charge.
We need intelligent people at our club who know the English game Mr Singhe has proved an expensive failure and another poor appointment decision by the Venkeys.

Good news on the commercial partnership continuing. No mention of it on the Probiz website though? They do show WBA, Wolves and Shef Utd as partners, oh and Featherstone Rovers !

also speculation is that Appletons salary from Blackpool has been doubled, could they have not give him just 20 to 30% more??

You get the feeling they are only doing this because the Club is in turmoil and they feel they can take advantage of it in someway or other. As someone said before they have interest in a few Clubs. Can't see any big name sponsors wanting to get involved with us at the moment.

But if you were born in Blackburn then your not Indian, your a Blackburnian (like me one of the ex-champions of 95)!

It's like Kevin Peterson saying he's English when he's South African. Or Bradley Wiggins saying he's British when he was born in Belgium.

You are where you were born.

Up to Rovers!

Is that true that Greg Coar is Rob Coars son? If that is true then "what a talented family!" just imagine all those commercial and marketing people in the UK and it turns out to be Rob Coar's son is the most talented and best qualified to get the job at Rovers!
Or is it just that he is a completely useless lump who can't wipe his a@rse without his Dad doing it for him.

On the basis that it isn't true, perhaps an unqualified apology to the Coars is now in order.

spot on,football shirts of old were much more authentic, just the lancashire rose and art et labore, when you look at some kits today,,its sponsorship gone mad,the football world is held together by sky sports and its many sponsors,,the game is just a greedy buisness,,the sport of football died many years ago when we sold our souls to the devil,,sky sports,

For some funny reason I just can't come around to the view that any apology is owed to the Coar's for suspecting them of self interest in their association with Blackburn Rovers, but I remain open to persuasion so over to you.
