Here here, how about getting down to the ground and supporting the team. Yes Venkys have made huge mistakes and huge changes are needed. but kicking off at Venkys in the ground will this really help the team???? I for one don't want them here but lets be real nobody else would buy this club with the mess it is now in. I will be hoping for 3 points and continue the climb back up the table. COYB

Depending on which side you stand for depends on what you do. On the one hand you pay your twenty quid and do as you say. Not being businessmen and women they think, okay its obvious that the fans aint happy so what shall we do, A) spend another 2 million on PR with another PR firm or B ) Sell up and be looked at as a failure but move on. To be honest I think they would go for A and waste another 2 million which would be better spent on the squad. if going for option B then maybe this is what the missing 10000 have been waiting for, maybe its time for them all to come back when Venkys have gone.

JC that is a sublime return trouble is Venkys don't get it full stop i think BRFC is some kind of cash cow to them where has the money gone!??? Look at the outgoing tranfer fees and compare the incoming transfers and it is not hard to see there is a gulf. you are wholly right the club is a farce and needs either correct management by Venkys if they are here for the long haul or sell and get proper football people in!

I agree with that comment. As it stands with the losses the club is making at the moment Venkys are all that is standing between us and administration. I would agree that they have caused the current problems but I think our efforts would be better put to getting behind the team and help them get 3 points on Saturday. Just my view although I do understand that feelings are running high and many will want to let them have both barrels and I wouldn't condem anyone who wanted to do this. Can't say they don't deserve any abuse they get.

you seem to say alot without actually saying anything but you always seem to end up insulting your fellow Rovers fans - I see you do it later as well - what a tool you are.

After a while the dog realises that when it comes it gets kicked and them it stops coming.

I just think the time has come to start afresh and build instead of continually singing the song about the light bulb that went two years ago.
The only problem for me at the minute is the doomongers want to create more misery by continuing to make the fans look bad with a poisonous atmosphere on appletons first game in charge. How many managers do they need before they get behind the team?

Whilst I would agree that to protest during a game could be detrimental to the team there is no chance of the protesters staying silent. Yes, If Venkys walked out today then we would be in administration but if they continue to run the club as they have been doing then we will be in administration within the next 18 months anyway as the club cannot keep losing revenue whilst failing to cut its costs or increase its revenues - you don't need to be an accountant to work that out - £25m loss for the 2012-2013 trading year is simply unsustainable yet so far they have done almost NOTHING to stem those lossess nor have they put a penny into the club to nulify those lossess (despite what some people continually post on here - Givet82 !!!) - infact the amount of money they charge the club in expenses for them "gracing us with their presence" will take us approx 2 home league games revenue to pay for- UTTER MADNESS !

They certainly have their failings but have you ever stopped and thought where we would have been under the Walker Trust....I think administration would have already happened, the money for transfers had dried up some time previous.

If things had continued under Walkers Trust we would probably be still mid-table Premiership, and looking forward to the larger TV payments. WT would not have put the club into adminstration,the Phil Jones money would have maintained the status quo financially, and our young lads would have learnt the game alongside experienced professionals like Ryan Nelson. We'd probably only have the 'hoofball' to moan about.

Its a pity that WT were desperate to sell to anyone with the cash, rather than being prepared to wait for the right people to come along, like Bill Kenwright at Everton has done for many years.

Most people agree on here that they don't like what the owners have done to the club. The owners are not for changing.
In two years they have held onto a drowning manager for ages inevitably taking the club down.
Brought in a global advisor to just say anything, who bought some cheap non descript portugeesers.
Were told by everybody that the club needs experience, and went and got inexperience, sacked, lesson learnt? no, more inexperience.

The more people smile and endure the Venks, the longer they will torture the club and fans. What ever will be will be, but they are not going to learn to run this club properly, and they certainly don't loose sleep over it.

It's impossible to know what they'll do. We all know they got themselves involved something they didn't have the first clue about. That leach Anderson and the likes saw them coming a mile off. The fact they have absolutely no idea about Rovers or football in general suggests to me they'd sell if the right offer came in. Their estimated wealth is about £650 million but I doubt they would even consider pumping any of that into the club given the last two horror years because it is clear they are the absolute opposite type of owner than Jack and have have the exact opposite agenda of Jack. They wanted Venkys name to be big in the western world through the advertising monster that is the Premier League but through a string of catastrophic decisions they have actually made their company an absolute joke. I agree with that comment. As it stands with the losses the club is making at the moment Venkys are all that is standing between us and administration. I would agree that they have caused the current problems but I think our efforts would be better put to getting behind the team and help them get 3 points on Saturday. Just my view although I do understand that feelings are running high and many will want to let them have both barrels and I wouldn't condem anyone who wanted to do this. "They did not create the problem" - what planet do you live on ????

1 - They sacked SA and replaced him with a complete and utter moron and then refused to sack that moron waaaaaay after his sell by date, hence creating an utter toxic atmosphere, creating fans to leave the club in their 1000's, many who will never return and our corporate sponsorship has droped almost 90% since they took-over the club.

2 - They got rid of wonderfull people like John Williams, Tom Finn etc and replaced them with the likes of Agnew and Singh.

3 - They allowed Jerome Anderson to run our transfers - leaving him to rake off around £3.5m in fees and wasting millions on (£2m Petrovic, £2.5m Goodwillie, £6m Dann, £3.5m Formica etc etc).

4- Inevitable relegation followed after 11 solid years in the Premiership.

But of course you are right - Non of it is Venkys fault - its all those nasty fans who complained about all those things who are to blame.

And whatever they come up with it won't be Rovers in my eyes, that is why I have withdrawn my support and potential investment from BRSIT.

But I will be down there on Saturday, weather permitting, supporting my team, hopefully not for the last time.

it all made for some 'interesting' meetings on the Riverside with opposition fans at half time...though we often stayed on the Darren End for the second half also so we could 'welcome' the visiting fans properly :-)

The problem is I actually still give a 5hit about Blackburn Rovers. I relate to those who say stay away, as I relate to those who say back the team. We all stood under the concrete together on the old Blckburn End and i can't believe these ignorant, arrogant gits have divided us like this.

We will all do our own thing on Saturday, but Ewood Park has 40 years of memories for me, I would like to think this isn't going to be one of the worst.

I remember that back in the early seventies Leicester City were the first club to come to Ewood who had fans that wore Harringtons and Crombies and DM's and braces and had Skinhead haircuts....really strange looking (to us) but quite 'hard' fans who gave the Rovers a bit of a chasing on the Darwen End that day.

During the sixties and very early seventies most Rovers fans behind the goals were 'Greasers/Rockers' still with studded Leather Jackets (as were most Lancashire Club teams like Blackpool, PNE, Burnley and Bolton) and greased back hair. It was Ewood on a Saturday afternoon and then round the Barbary Coast on a Saturday night. Great pubs and great music on the jukeboxes...bit rough later in the night though!

FR you are rolling back the years, its a long time since I heard anybody refer to the Barbary Coast.

Legs o' Man - now there was a rough pub ! What I would give to watch the Venkys walk in there on a Friday night with their London PR men and Modan in tow.

My only memory of the old Darwen End roof was some dingle retard going up it, on it and then crashing through it into the snack bar. Must have been late 70's.

Not so innocent those days really, just a different attitude, and there wasn't cameras everywhere gathering evidence. If you stepped out of line, and we all did, you knew you could get 'slapped' And if you did, you took it, you didn't go whining about 'my rights' and compensation.

They certainly have their failings but have you ever stopped and thought where we would have been under the Walker Trust....I think administration would have already happened, the money for transfers had dried up some time previous.
