Bacup Borough 2 Bootle 4
4:20pm Monday 7th January 2013 in Football
BACUP returned to home league action for the first time since November as high flying Bootle arrived at the Brian Boys West View Stadium and went away with all three points.
Jamie Hay and Joe Fowler did the damage for the visitors both scoring two apiece.
Hay headed Bootle ahead in the 16th minute but Bacup levelled immediately through an excellent Lee Oldham header.
But goals from Hay again and Fowler put Bootle 3-1 up at the break.
Fowler made it 4-1 on the hour before Paul Nelson pulled on back.
* Ashley Higgins scored twice as Nelson lost 5-2 at Atherton Colleries.
