I agree with the appointment of the top job being delayed to ensure the right person is picked (including consideration of GB) but the only issue for me is who is in control of picking and choosing the transfer targets?

Now, that's what our midfield needs... A/an Ian Bowyer type...if GB has got his dad's determination then the team can only benefit.

So far Bowyer has managed to keep the fiasco that currently is Rovers off the pitch and is getting the best out of the squad. I agree the squad is big but good? What is apparent is that Bowyer is managing them, they are fitter and Bowyer understands his tactics and the players are confident in his abilities. Something we didn't see in Berg and Kean. Another win will do the teams confidence a world of good and three wins on the bounce will really give us that winning habit.

For me, it seems Bowyer and McPhillips have done well in keeping the footballers concentrating on their game whilst the clowns continue to perform in their circus act.

Perhaps due to my mistrust of the clowns, I find it rather convenient that no new manager along with their desired new signings will be appointed whilst the transfer window is open.

On the other hand, perhaps stabilisation, whilst the results are going for us, is what is needed at the club right now.

Rest Jordan Rhodes...Rather keep him fresh for the league matches.

Baldly....the delay is not to give the chicken farmers more time to pick the right man...it's pure and simply to avoid spending in the window.... don't fool yourself mate...the vultures are already circling ready to pick off our good players, especially with sloppy ding promising them they could leave if we wasn't challenging for promotion come Christmas....well let me tell you mate, Christmas has been and gone and we're not even sure if we'll make the play-offs....even if they do sanction the buying of some players...how does scabby minge know who will be right for the new man?.....it's a farce mate...nothing more nothing less....i would also like to add i'm 100% behind Gazza and hope the lads continue to gain more confidence and that shows in their performances, but this situation is NOT the way forward....it's pure and simply standing still......WHERE'S THE INVESTMENTS YOU CHICKEN FARMING MORONS?

'Myself and Terry are not daft. We have been in the game long enough and seen it could go the other way quite easily in the next couple of games. Then we would not be as popular as we are this week.

totally agree we need stabilization within the squad but why cant we appoint a man who for a few weeks uses his time at the club to see how Gazza is running things, watch the players in training and from that he can have SOME input on who we should let go and who we need to keep, also suggest who we could do with bringing in to compliment the way he see's us going forward, he could also use this time to get his back room staff sorted and settled.....but hey, that's applying logic and the Indian chicken pluckers are void of such a thing....scabby and venkys out....C'mon you blues

The investments you refer to mostly come from fans.

Olson is going as he wants to play in the premier and Givet wants to return to his home land.
For sure they will be missed like many others who have left.
but we need to find other players capable of gelling together and creating a good team at BRFC.

I think most of us know which players are moving on at BRFC.
But who do we want in playing....!!

I'm sure we know a player or two out there in the Football leagues who in their opinion good be a good player for BRFC.

Lets start pointing out the good players who could be good signings for Rovers.

The BBC's match preview says that Fernandez and Payne could be thrown into the side so it's nice to read that Bowyer doesn't plan on tinkering with the squad. I'm all for the youngsters getting their chance but I think stability is more important at the moment. City are without a few key players today so I'm going for a 3-1 win for us. I wish I could believe we'll put another five past them but FA Cup ties are always tricky.
