BARNSLEY boss Keith Hill believes the Blackburn Rovers vacancy would still be an attractive job for many managers as he prepares to face his old club today.

Hill said: “On paper, Premier League budget, possibly Premier League players, paying £8m for one player, paying Premier League wages, there’s a lot there a manager would look at and think I’ve got a good canvas to work with.

“But they’re playing Championship football on a Premier League budget and that’s not sustainable.

“I don’t think Steve Kean was doing a bad job but what’s happened since is they’ve given themselves a massive mountain to climb.

“At this moment it does look a little bit farcical.”
