My best is yet to come, insists Blackburn Rovers loanee King
1:10pm Monday 24th December 2012 in Football
By Andy Cryer, Blackburn Rovers reporter
BLACKBURN Rovers loanee Josh King believes his best is yet to come after insisting he is relishing life at Ewood Park.
The 20-year-old winger is on loan from Manchester United until January but he is expected to extend his stay in East Lancashire, with talks ongoing about securing his permanent transfer.
King has featured in every Rovers match since arriving from Old Trafford, including starting in the last two defeats, and despite the club’s slide down the Championship, he insists he is enjoying himself.
He said: “I have enjoyed my time here very, very much. Everyone has accepted me and it has been good coming here.
“Hopefully I can get a few more goals but the most important thing is the team win games and we work together to do that.
“I have not played so many games in a row since I can’t remember when.
That is great for me and I feel I am getting better and better every week.
“It takes time for a new kid to come into a new team and new surroundings but I am starting to get used to it and hopefully in a few weeks time I will be at my best.”
King scored his first goal for Rovers in the 4-1 home defeat to Cardiff City and is bidding to add to his total when they travel to Middlesbrough on Wednesday.
But, with Rovers adrift of the play-off spots, King insists the priority is on dragging themselves back into promotion contention.
He said: “It is always good to score goals, I am striker and that is my job. We are losing games at the moment and we need to get back on to a winning form.
“Every game is tough in this league, the Championship is a very, very tough league. You win a couple of games and you move up a few places.
“We are hoping for a win to get our confidence up and to get back up the table where we were before I came.
“It is not easy but we are working in training every day and hoping to improve every game we play.
“A win is enough, if we play good football and the fans enjoy it that is obviously brilliant.
“We lose two or three games in a row and that gets into your head a bit.
“But we have some experienced players and, mixed with the youngsters, the experienced guys can talk to the youngsters and get our heads clear.
“Hopefully we get back on a winning run and get three points.”

Please give Henning the transfer window to prove himself, he knows who is worth keeping and who the donkeys are.
If there is no improvement after this time then I will fully support your complaining but for the time being lets see what he has got up his sleeve!!
Lets hope we all have a Happy New Year.

I have tried to look at the 1st team squad and analyzed what players are ok and what potential we have and those that should be moved on.

New year for me, we shouldnt have let Bunn go and I hope Henning brings in some good defenders and midfielders, players who will give 100% and will be proud to wear the blue and white shirt.
I can possibly see a few players coming in from the clubs Henning used to manage but as long as they improve our squad thats all we can ask for.

decision to reach. When things are really dire its time for good men to stand up and do something. What is blindingly obvious is that we must force the owners to put up or shut up.In the best interests of the club we should all
boycot the matches until they(venkys) move on.The infected part has to be cut out or the entire body will suffer and die.Are you REAL FANS and brave enough or what????????????????

e.g. QPR as it seems are a club waiting changes to their staff hence a good time to get some of their players.
I can think of some at QPR who could fit the bill.
what do you guys think..?
Givet is going in January.
Defenders needed and a midfielder.

I believe we fans should do everything possible especially in difficult times to bring the fans & BRFC together.
We need to be stronger, we need to show the world we can come together in times of need and this period is that occasion.
I believe in BRFC and Blackburn and would ask every fan and resident of the Lancashire area to get together and be positive. We shall not be allowed to be dragged to the bottom of everything.
We are a proud people of Lancashire a proud club and we should raise ourselves to where we belong to the upper echelons of English society and the the premiership again one day soon.
to the football......!!
I think we should raid clubs who are thinking of bringing in new players themselves.
