Singh insists financial position is healthy at Rovers (From Lancashire Telegraph)

Mr Singh could you just answer the questions people ask without changing the subject, this happened last night in most of your interview.

If all this is true, why will KPMG not sign off the accounts of the company who own Blackburn Rovers? Mr Singh, I suggest your tongue is as forked as Mr Kean's, or you don't know what's really going on financially, because it's become clear that you don't know what's going on footballing wise.

It is reported that KPMG would not sign off the accounts as a true picture of Rovers financial position because there was insufficient supporting documents to accompany various dealings - so Shabby Singh so much for Rovers strong financial position!!!!
It was awful and worrying listening to this man 'babbling on' - any real professional Football Management listening to Radio Lancs last night would have been horrified as I was in having this man 'front the club' - the circus continues on!!!!

"Going forwards, the club does NOT have enough revenue streams to cover its costs" - it is written by Venkys themselves in the accounts that have just been published !!

Why would you write such a line is you were "in a healthy financial state.

The accounts were quite plain for all to see - we are in a financial mess and unless we get an unlikely promotion or a cash influx from somewhere then things are going to get alot worse - thats what Venkys said themselves and what the figures actaully showed.

Yes we are losing more games and attendances are down,and after lasts nights performance from shaggy amounted to contradictions from what he had stated only hours previously,ie backroom staff to be dismissed,no they are here for Saturday,berg will be looking at the transfer window,no we have not discussed any transfer targets blah,blah,it was just an hour and half of waffling in answer to some poor questions,ie can you ask the venkys how much they are worth,like they are going to tell him and least of all us.No mention of centre backs needed,fitness levels etc,but it would have been pointless really, he is a very slippery customer to pin down and turns things away from the exact question which as been asked

He also said at the meeting in Blackeys in summer that the club had "no dept" - the accounts clearly show that shebby was lieing then - we actually have £20m of dept (as shown in the accounts).

Or is shebby still going to insist we are "dept free" as he did only 5 months ago.

The very template BRFC built in running the club with Messrs Williams and Co was obviously a poisoned chalice for the likes of Venky thus they proceed to rip it up and start again. That in itself is no bad thing, but replacing the very fabric of a business doesn't involve trashing it beyond repair, and then attempting in glossing over the facts with NUTS is preposterous !

Dear to goodness stupid we may be, but fools we are not. If pain was/is to be inflicted then at the very least treat us with a little dignity and respect ?

I every body says Shebby is a slippery customer but I think they might mean he slips up a lot because he seems to have verbal diarroea and tends to spit it all out and then tell us he didnt mean it.

I worked out the other day that Lowe actually passed forward twice in 180 mins play and I suggest if one midfielder does that then it is obvious why we aren't scoring goals as our strikers are constantly marked out of the game
its just Jordan's finishing prowess that gives us the odd goal at the moment.

great song RR....but think that someone may have taken some of it away a couple of years ago. We are left now with a pale imitation of what once was a proud and well run club. While we still have fans that care - then we will still have a club.. That lifelong support for the team we love is a strong part of our DNA and is what ensured clubs like Wimbledon and Portsmouth and others survived in some form to carry on the name and history of their clubs despite the greed and incompetence of unworthy and unfit owners. There will always be a Rovers but in what form or shape (or division) who knows... Don't give up on the swan yet as the breeding season (January) is almost upon us. If there are no new cygnets in the pond by the end of the month then maybe we should put the swan out of its misery and shoot the bird and eat it!

I am not going to say Berg is the greatest manager ever, his playing experience portfolio outweighs Black or Kean's, so he is the best manager we have had since BFS in my eyes. I really think he needs at least half a season after the transfer window and his own backroom before any judgement is passed, I said this when he took the job.

Only my subjective views will keep me close to our Rovers Mr French, being objective is painful !

A mixture of the two should see us through, and as for the Swan the poor bleeding thing I never envisaged it being put out of it's misery in this way - such is life, eh :) LOL

RR ,the swan is fast becoming a mytical figure ,but it is a memory that must be held dear it is what has sustained you ,me any many more through dark days and nights. It could fly again but it is less and less likely.
However in the days before Jack dark as they were the swan often flutered and lifted the spirits can you honestly say that in those days a win at Port Vale was any less satisfying than a win a anfield. We must lower our sights but never our dreams and hope that one day the nightmare will end.
The sad thing is what will be left and the real culprit will escape richer and care nothing, Venkys must go also but at least they will I believe leave poorer and regret the day they listened to agents bearing gifts.

There has to be some twitchy bums down at Ewood, just look at the position that Portsmouth are in. I reckon in under 2 years Rovers fans will be shaking buckets at away games, most likely in either league 1 or 2, trying to raise the several millions needed to avoid a winding up order at the high court.

Spot on comments ,
Black a well respected coach he will walk into a better job the next day ,and both Minns and Brunskill also will ,both good men ,they will have offers by now.
But the only person who would never , ever get another job coaching if he got sacked by Rovers ,is Hendry , it`s hard to understand why we are getting rid of all these good decent honest men that will be in demand to go to other clubs, and we keep the one guy Hendry who is and abject failure at coaching and also according to legal literature , Hendry is a proven swindler women basher and bully, why are we keeping losers and getting rid of honest hard working decent men we have as our coaches ?

I don't think Berg is picking the team. Better players left on the bench, just like last year and Kean has gone.
Pedersen can't get a game now but then Singh doesn't like pensioners.
Same with Givet who gives 100% and Dunn who could do a better job than some in midfield, if only for half a game.
Strange team selections last year and not much changed this.

Agreed. Doing nothing just isnt an option.

Honour, loyalty, these things are worthless if we do not improve? Nobody wants to see poor football performance that only sinks us deeper. Hate Shebby all you want but I think he is the only one who is capable and ruthless enough to bring any changes at Ewood.

Pedersen can't get a game now but then Singh doesn't like pensioners.
Same with Givet who gives 100% and Dunn who could do a better job than some in midfield, if only for half a game.
Strange team selections last year and not much changed this.

If that is true then I would say Berg is also without honour HSB. Fortunately I dont believe that to be the case, I do believe he has his hands tied as does Singh with contractual obligations etc, I just wish we knew the truth about weird player choices and players staying benched.

What worries me as much as anything is that Berg is simply a replacement for Kean and not a substitute brought in for the purpose of effecting any meaningful change because so far the only change has been an even worse points tally than we had under Kean. Can anyone out there detect any fundamental change to the way things are at Ewood now compared to the way they were pre Berg?

Under Kean – We were poor in defence but fairly good in attack
Under Black – We tightened up the defence but lost some of the scoring ability
Under Berg – We have Kean’s defence and Black’s attack.
Summary - We are now s**t in both attack and defence

What I do know is that Venkys would play their best team available if they had any footballing ambitions at all. Whatever it is they're up to got us relegated last season and we're heading in the exactly the same direction this season too.

I listened to the show last night. Thought the whole thing was an embarrassing disaster. Most questions were poorly thought out and articulated and a wasted opportunity. For example, asking how much Venkys are worth, making a statement rather than posing a question, asking about things re trivial in the greater scheme of things. On some occasions when a decent question was posed and shebby twisted it with his answer, the fan didn't point out this tto Shebby therefore it was pointless. In other words he got away with his brainless rubbish through fans who weren't savvy enough and the interviewer not intervening enough. It was just awful. He must have been rubbing his hands together after.

Afraid to say we've always been treat as though we're thick by Venkys.. Now they know for sure.

Financial position healthy? Yeh right. It doesn't take an Einstein to disprove that statement. Pretty sad that Haha Shebby came out with that when everybody and their dog can refute it.

I don't have a problem that Shebby has come in and fronted many of the issues that damage our club but that's all he is, a 'front man', a mouthpiece for Venkys to deflect criticism from them. But, there still doesn't appear to be any signs of true optimisim.

Venkys cocked up from day one when they sacked Sam. Their objectives had nowt to do with football or improving BRFC. Their global image was what is was all about. That is tarnished as is our beloved club.

But you don't KNOW that Shebby is picking the team do you, or what the problems behind the scenes are, real or imagined do you?

It's all "I know a mate who was told by someone here there and everywhere, that this, that and the other is going on, nudge; nudge, wink; wink say no more govenor".

I know things about a certain ex manager (not Kean) that happened when he was in charge of another club that would disgust you, but I can't say who because I couldn't afford the lawyers, so I keep quite because I can't prove it, and I would get someone else in extremely serious trouble as well.

I like Pedersen, but is he currently worth his place apart from taking long throws, corners and free kicks?

Did Givet ever get the £75k contract "misunderstanding" resolved, that went very quiet didn't it?

Sorry but if Dunny can only play for half a game a dozen times a season, ask yourself, should he still be playing?

To me Berg is an honest, decent guy, a top professional for every club he has played for, not some arse wipe from the back of beyond , lets face it, he has inherited a bag of tripe squad masquerading as professional players, not one of whom aren't fit to polish his boots, added to that a ownership and management structure that beggars belief.

This is my 41st year of watching Rovers full time, ST holder long before Jack Walker took over and to be honest I am not really all that bothered if we go up this year, but what I do want to see in the new year is players with some pride and passion playing for my club.

If Berg can deliver that, great, if not, well there won't be a 42nd year.

Port Vale was my first experience of anything of that nature amongst thousands of supporters at 13. Nothing tops that, but, yes sir, winning and celebrating at any level rouses the senses precisely the same.

I can count myself lucky and fortunate in experiencing BRFC's fortunes through thick and thin that I can envisage the beautiful swan, and as you quite rightly state; "we can lower our sights but never our dreams"

Iwas at the meeting on wednesday night with shebby and to be honest it showed how far this club has fallen when we couldnt even fill the radio studio,the atmosphere was awful,the supporters that did turn up, really did look as if they,d had the stuffing kicked out of em.fair play to shebby for turning up but he must have had a good laugh at us on the way home.i think in future the questioning needs to be left to the pros who know who and what they are dealing with.
