Olsson not looking for Blackburn Rovers exit
9:59am Wednesday 5th December 2012 in Football
By Chris Flanagan, Sports reporter
MARTIN Olsson says he has no plans to seek a January move away from Blackburn Rovers after receiving reassurances over his international future with Sweden.
Olsson was linked with an Ewood Park exit in the summer and his agent Martin Dahlin, the former Rovers striker, said at the time that playing in the Championship was ‘not an option’ for the 24-year-old because of fears it would jeopardise his place in the national team.
But Rovers insisted during the summer that they had no intention of selling the Swede, who still has two-and-a-half years left to run on his contract with the club.
Then manager Steve Kean was adamant that Olsson had personally stressed his commitment to Rovers – despite acknowledging receiving ‘mixed signals’ from his representatives.
The player himself, who joined Rovers at the age of 17, later admitted he had been open to the idea of remaining in the Premier League following the club’s relegation but now says his only focus is on helping them regain top flight status.
Asked how he viewed his future, Olsson said: “I am focused on Blackburn, that’s it. Too much came out in the media before that I wanted to leave and I didn’t want to play here.
“I love the club, I have been here seven years and I only have positive things to say about the club.
“Right now I’m just focusing on Rovers, that’s all.”
Olsson, who was joined at Ewood Park by twin brother Markus earlier this year, has retained his place in the Sweden squad – starting last month’s friendly against England.
And he has been told by national boss Erik Hamren that playing in the Championship will not count against him providing he maintains his form.
“The national team coach called me before the games (this season) and said even if I play with Blackburn here in the Championship it’s no problem, as long as I deliver in the national team,” he said.
“That was reassuring, of course. But I just want to get us up to the Premier League, that’s it.
“I want to be involved, I want to be a part of that.”
Olsson linked up with fellow Scandinavian Josh King on the left flank in the second half of Sunday’s 1-1 derby draw at Burnley.
Norwegian King could now be pushing for a place in the starting line-up for Friday’s home game against Cardiff City after earning praise from boss Henning Berg.
The 20-year-old recently joined Rovers on loan from Manchester United, making his debut as a substitute at home to Millwall before starting against Bolton.
“Josh when he came on made a very good impact,” Berg said.
“He gave us a bit more attacking options, a bit more offensive play and also someone who can take on and go past players.
“I think he had an impact in the first home game as well when he came on, he did really well.
“He got into great positions, he’s good one against one, he’s strong, he’s physical, he’s got good technique and on Sunday his passing was good as well.”

back on topic, good to hear decent stuff from martin. i think he looks a less confident player since his injury earlier in the season, but hopefully that'll come back. maybe if his brother or king can start really pushing the opposing players back, he can start supporting the attacks more. we'd have a really potent left flank then.
there are green shoots of recovery under berg, but the players need to play their part too. it's a lack of intensity all over the pitch that i worry about. lowe coming back into midfield could help that, but we need more from some of the others.

How do you have the audacity to print such rubbish. You've taken the Rovers fans for fools for long enough don't you think??
.
Berg has managed to achieve the unthinkable and actually make Kean look like he knew what he was doing. 8 points out of his last 51 available.....one win in 17 games!! (and that against a team rock bottom of the league with p1ssed up players) You call that reason to be optimistic?? Or are you referring to your collective bank balances??? (courtesy of Uncle Jack....may he rest in peace...EVENTUALLY!!

I hope you have informed FIFA, the FA and the Premier league of this threat to mankind. Maybe you should contact Camerons secretary and he can bring it up in parliament. Prime ministers question time, or maybe he can sneak it in at the next GM summit.
Does Obama know about this, and the kremlin???

If you, by any chance, have seen some of the games you'd be blind to not see that the team play more to the their advantages, team cohesion is up and the defense is improving. Central midfield lacks that player who can spark a whole team, Murphy might be an excellent passer but he's no captain - with a strong leader this team would get a play-off spot this year, even fight for promotion. If David Dunn had been ten years younger and 20 pounds lighter he'd be perfect.
Oh, and get behind your friggin' team and manager instead of slamming everybody after a few matches if you got more than **** for brains.

There is a long history of Jewish owners and Scottish / freemasonry managers and/or coaches or Jewish managers, here to name just a few:
United = Glazers owners, manager Sir Alex
Aston Villa = Randy Lerner owner, Paul Lambert manager. Alec McLeish before him, Gary McAllister before him.
Everton = Bill Kenwright owner, David Moyes manager
Liverpool last season = Jewish owner, Kenny Dalglish manager, Steve Clarke coach (note: high agent fees).
Blackburn last season = Jewish owner (not Venky's), Steve Kean manager, then Eric Black, Colin Hendry coach.
Arsenal previously = David Dein and George Graham (bungs inquiry)
Leeds previously = Peter Ridsdale and George Graham (Leeds end up £110M in debt)
Spurs previously = Daniel Levy (Alan Sugar before him - bung to Cloughie) and George Graham
.
The list goes on and on.......
.
Richard Scudamore, head of PL: Jewish
David Bernstein, head of FA: Jewish
Then there's Roy Hodgson....(http://w

If you know of this, do you not think the people who do actually know what they are talking about don't?
Please explain the £2.5m he could have got by further mortgages, you're a little vague. He was already mortgaged up to the hilt and beyond. I think you'll find not many lenders will take property as security if it is effectively worth f@'ck all. So, how then are you suggesting he could have doubled his borrowing? If he still had this much collateral available, he wouldn't have gone bankrupt.
And before you say this was in the name of some mysterious offshore trust or whatever, how were the funds secured by it included in his £2.5m debts? I doubt an individual would get a mortgage onsomebody elses house - and it was an ordinary, personal, mortgage not a commercial one - hence he himself going bankrupt.
You are quite right, FR, conspiracies and Hendry bashing; they've become a Blackburn pastime.

Those involved in this have accused me of racism. But who are the REAL racists here?? Answer can be found in the choice of "owners" for the club....Venky's. An Indian company would cause racial disharmony within Blackburn allowing those involved to strip the club....leave it heavily in debt...with the intention of blaming the Indians. The issue here is....did the Walker Trust actually find a buyer for the club or did Rothschild's/their Jewish and Freemasonry network, plus a certain agent, hatch a plan to strip the club??

lets make it simple for you , Hendry buys a house in 2001 CASH for 825,000 pounds , over the last couple of years he remortgages this property for 1. 8 million pounds , in the meantime he take further loans /securities on the same property for a further 1.8 million pounds, so when the **** hits the fan , and he can`t pay or does not want to pay his mortgages ,he gets sued for bankruptcy, so what has Hendry got out of it 1.8 millon pounds cash on 2nd and unsecured mortgages and he would already have pocketed the money from the loan of the first mortgage of 1.8 million ,so HENDRY from one property he paid 820,000 pound for he pockets a total of 3.6 million ,all heading offshore. tax free, and what have his creditors banks or the pensioners that loaned them their life savings got ,nothing but Hendry with his band of swindling canniving friends will get away with it all.
THIS IS HOW THEY WORK IT NOW AND IN 12 MONTHS ALL DEBTS ARE WIPED AWAY, SO THEIVES LIKE THE TOOTHLESS DYED BLONDE HAIR MUPPET GET AWAY WITH IT.
A GOOD MAN ??? .
