All points are welcome from away fixtures in League Two this season but I cannot help thinking it was two points lost at Barnet on Friday night.
If the referee was correct in ordering the Barnet penalty to be retaken after Ian Dunbavin had allegedly moved of his line then 90 per cent of all penalties I have ever seen should have been retaken!
On a more positive note former England International James Beattie made his first appearance for the Reds and he looks in fine fettle.
Beattie and the rest of the squad will have to be on top of their game tonight as we make the short trip across the county to Fleetwood.
I have been many times in the past to the home of the Cod Army but tonight will be a very different experience to my last. Back in the days of the Unibond League the attendance was around 120 and Stanley took about 80.
Now Fleetwood are regularly getting more than 2,000 through the gate for home fixtures. I am over the moon they have made it into the league, the more Lancashire clubs in League Two the better.
Tonight’s fixture will be full of fire but I am confident Leam Richardson and the lads will come out on top.
