Clarets appeal Tripper red card

The Clarets have today lodged an appeal with the FA against the red card shown to Kieran Trippier in Saturday’s game against Charlton Athletic.

Trippier was sent off by referee Robert Madley after the Burnley defender was ruled to have handled the ball on the line as he blocked a shot from Addicks defender Chris Solly - leaving the Clarets to play with ten men for 75 minutes.
