HALF-TIME: Cardiff 2, Burnley 0
3:56pm Saturday 27th October 2012 in Football
CARDIFF'S 100 per cent home record looks set to continue, as the Clarets trail 2-0 at the break.
Burnley arrived in South Wales boasting two wins from two games under caretaker boss Terry Pashley.
But the Bluebirds have proved formidable opposition at the Cardiff City Stadium this season, and took just three minutes to take the lead.
After Dean Marney failed to get a cross under control on the edge of the box, Cardiff countered and Craig Noone saw his effort bounce off the left post.
Striker Joe Mason was quick to react and turned in the rebound.
Charlie Austin went close to scoring for a record-breaking ninth game in a row, but his dipping volley was kept out by goalkeeper David Marshall.
Cardiff got forward quickly and almost scored and Mason was denied by the post.
But Malky Mackay's men doubled their lead four minutes before the break.
Lee Grant got a hand to Noone's shot, but the ball bounced over the line before the keeper could hook it clear.
