Chesterfield close in on deal for Accrington Stanley boss

CHESTERFIELD are moving closer to appointing Accrington Stanley boss Paul Cook as their new manager.

It is understood that the two clubs are currently in discussions over the move, although the formalities of an official approach may only take place once a compensation deal is finalised.

Cook is believed to be interested in the switch because of the prospect of a bigger budget with the Derbyshire club, with a deal currently looking likely to be concluded swiftly.
